I pack the night before we leave and it drives my fiance bonkers. Have a great trip! Post some pics for those of us stuck in the real world, if you have time. Have fun!

Not me; I create a spread sheet with everything, clothes toiletries, incidentals, that I will need about 6 months before we leave. I revise the list as required and check off items as I acquire them. I usually pack the 2-3 days before we leave consulting my checklist as I do and try mightily to not add one more shirt “just in case.”

My dear wife has commented on many occasions that the invasion of Normandy or the Apollo moon landings occurred with less planning.

We don't pack til a night or two before we leave. We take stuff we regularly use so we can't pack too early if we wanted. My wife will usually do all the laundry the weekend before and if there is anything dirty two days before she'll do another small load if it's something we want to take. We've been to Disney plenty so I guess that's why. I travel light. I take shorts/pants for each day. A t-shirt for each day. If it's summer a bathing suit. I'll pack some extra socks and underwear though. She likes to take a bunch of outfits and make up her mind later. The only thing we really prepare in advance is for our 16 month old. She'll be giong again next month. We'll get her stuff ready the weekend before.

I'd say the vast majority. When we're in relationships there are certain things we'll delegate along to our significant others because we know you will do them. He'll pack his clothes, but he (we as guys) know you already have all the toiletries. Another example is gifts. As single guys we don't buy many gifts for birthdays and other ocassions. We'll slip a twenty into an envelope if anything but it's generally not expected of us. When we're in a relationship we'll be in on our way to our mother's house and that's when it will occur to the guy to ask his significant other if you got something for his mom?

I'm right there with you! Not only do I have an exhaustive packing list, but it specifies precisely what-goes-where in our luggage, complete with a chart of how to stack the packing cubes inside each bag for maximum efficiency! And don't get me started on the schedule for the morning we leave, which is set forth in 5-minute increments... ;)

I guess I'm different. But I'm a "Disney Nutcase" anyways. I will start packing before my wife even thinks of it. We're down to just 18 days till the 2012 trip, haven't packed a set of Mouse Ears yet. So, I'm thinking, oh we've done this so many times before, why rush? What I failed to remember is that for the first time, we are going for 10 days which equals more stuff to bring. So on Monday, I'll get the suitcases out and clean those up and then let the packing madness begin.
Anna have a magical wonderful trip!!!

Oh yeah, DH will be up packing until midnight and asking me to iron clothes while I'm in bed fuming, trying in vain to get an hour of sleep. Same thing every year, every trip. Thank goodness we fly and don't drive because he'd never be ready. My clothes have been pressed and set out for 2 weeks and we don't leave for another 2 weeks. Must be a guy thing!

I'm a woman. I don't pack until just before I leave. If I'm leaving early, I'll pack the night before.

There really isn't any reason to pack early. I get that people like to do it because they're excited. Nothing wrong with that! But it isn't necessary.
