Still Debating POFQ VS CSR!!!

Hello All, For the first time I am booked at a moderate, going to the World in early Jan. 2014. Usually stay at AKL, love the restaurants their, and have made friends with the bartenders @ Victoria Falls. This trip trying to watch expenses a little I booked POFQ. It is a smaller resort than CSR (alot less walking), however I plan on still having some meals over @ AKL, and meeting up at Victoria Falls a good deal. I am understanding that CSR is closer to AKL and would be cheaper cab wise, and time wise at the end of the night going back to the hotel, but how much of a difference are we talking about.

***Also it would only cost a little over $200 getting a preferred room @CSR vs a standard room @ POFQ, what is your opinion on this, is it worth it? Would it make a difference in your choice.

Please consider all elements concerning these two resorts, such as size, bus service, entertainment options, food, small vs large convention type resort, etc!!!!!

Lastly how do I find out or does anyone know if there will be any conventions scheduled for the period of January 4th-January 12th 2013. Thanks for all your help!!!!
Also @Master Yoda

I havent stayed at CSR, it's definitely on my list for the next Moderate to check out. I feel like it might be kind of a looked over resort. POFQ has those fresh Beignet that get me every time :) I always recommend getting a preferred room. We got a princess room a few weeks back at POR and felt like we walked miles to get anywhere.

I have never been much for the extra expense of a preferred room. Avoiding an hour or two max of extra walking over the course of a week is simply not worth it to me.

There is no official convention list that I know of, but this one is pretty much as good as it gets.

I have yet to stay at CSR when there was NOT a convention and they have never been a problem.

I would stay at Coronado, beautiful resort and much closer to AKL if you are going to be spending some time there. It would be a short cheap taxi ride over there.

Thanks Master Yoda. I read that you have not stayed @ CSR. Have you stayed @ POFQ? What did you think of the bus service. Do you have approximate times that it takes to get to each of the parks? Also have you ever eaten @ Kouzzina's for dinner (is it ok for possible Solo dining)? Also any thoughts of The Wave for breakfast? Thanks Again. I really appreciate how fast you respond to my questions, you are awesome!!!!!

We stayed at POFQ in 2012 and have booked again for next summer...can't wait! It is a smaller resort, a nice break after long days at the park. There is no such thing as a preferred room here because it is so small, all the rooms are great in terms of proximity to the food court, bus stop, pool, etc. We loved it so much that we booked here again, not even tempted to try another moderate. Our decision now is whether we upgrade to a deluxe or not? But if you decide FQ, you won't be disappointed

I have stayed at every moderate resort multiple times.

I have not used the buses in quite some time as we drive down and have a car, but the single stop resorts tend to be faster. This link should help. http://www.ourlaughingplace.com/aspx/twiz.aspx#.UhpaphushcY

I have not eaten at Kouzzina's yet.

I was quite pleased with the Wave for breakfast.
