steak: yachtsman or shula's

I've eaten at Yachtsman but not Shula's. I'm a serious steak eater (in other words, Le Cellier is not for me)...but I haven't been to Shula's yet and I'm wondering which of the two (Shula's or Yachtsman) is the truly better steak experience. They both seem to offer true prime beef, age their steak well, and cook them correctly (based on my experience at Yachtsman and what I've heard about Shula's).

Is there truly a difference that a steak connoisseur would be able to discern? We will have two small children with us though, so if one of those two places has a more "formal" setting than the other than I'd choose the other, if all else is equal.

Yachtsman is very good, but Shula's IMO is better. In fact, just about some of the best steaks I have ever had. As to the setting, I'm not sure that I would consider Shula's more formal, but it is definitely less Disney. It has a very corporate atmosphere - seems to be mainly business types traveling on expense accounts. I don't know that I've ever seen kids in there, but if they're well behaved, I don't see that it would be a problem. It's a fairly loud place anyway, sports on the TVs, etc.

I like Shula’s, I think this is the place for serious beef eaters, it is expensive however. As it was said above it is not Disney themed and IMO not “kid friendly.”
DW prefers Yachtsman Steakhouse, in her words Shula’s is way to “butch” she doesn’t like the décor.

OK thanks to both of you for your responses. I'm sure I'll get some more. Zurgand, I am also from Boston area...have you had the chance to dine at Abe and Louie's or Capital Grille, Grill 23 etc? Any comparisons to Shula's?

I've been wanting to try Shula's, the dining plan has kept me away. I think I'm going to go non-dining plan next time to vist Shula, Fulton and a few other places.
