Staying on Property for portion of stay

Hey guys,

If I'm staying on property (specifically WDW Swan/Dolphin) for only a portion of my full ticket validity, will I be able to utilize the 60 day window for the entire ticket, or just the days I am 'on property'.

I.e. I'm staying at the Swan June 17, Sheraton Lake Buena Vista June 18-22 and the Dolphin June 23 (Don't ask, it was all booked on points and the Dolphin, which is the mid tier on SPG points had limited availability).

I would have park tickets June 17-June 24.

Would I be able to only FP 60 days out on June 17/18 and June 23/24?

If that were further the case, would the June 23/24 window open 60 days from my June 17 stay or 60 days from the June 23rd since they are different reservations... but all the same ticket?

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
You cannot use the 60 day FP window at all being the Swan and Dolphin is not considered official WDW resorts. You cannot make them until 30 days before. ;)

Edit: I was not aware of the change from several years ago for Swan and Dolphin. Sorry but at least now I know for anyone else who might ask. ;)

I think you will be able to make all your fastpasses at 60 days, but it will be 60 days from each date, on a "rolling basis". If you were staying onsite the whole time, your window for the whole stay would open up on 60 days before the 17th. Instead, you'll have to log in daily to make the FPs, but I don't think your window will shrink back down to 30 days. I hope that makes sense.

I had a guest with this exact same situation a few months ago. You can only use the FastPass+ 60-day booking window for the days that you are physically staying on property. Any other days will be available on a 30-day rolling basis, one day at a time.

You can make FastPass+ reservations for June 17 on April 18
for June 23 on April 24
for June 18 on May 19
for June 19 on May 20
for June 20 on May 21
for June 21 on May 22
for June 22 on May 23

With this setup, you will need to select FastPass+ attractions one day at a time.

Now Disney's systems are inconsistent, at best. So in the event that you discover something different, please let me know :-)

If this is true, then Disney fixed a loophole that has existed for awhile. It wouldn't surprise me though.

Edited to say: Just did a bit of research and cannot find any other confirmation that this loophole has closed. I can personally confirm that the loophole still existed in Spring 2015, but I found anecdotal evidence on the internet that it still existed in 2016 as well. I hope OP reports back so we'll know the state of things.

I will assume that the loophole is closed. The dates you have given do not allow for length of stay....

You can make fastpass reservations for both check-in and check-out days, so you will be able to make them for the 17th and 18th on April 18th (length of stay is 2 days), and for both 23rd and 24th on April 24th.

But you will only be able to make them for the number of days you have tickets for, so if you only have tickets for 7 days and make them on a rolling 30 day plan then you will not have any left for the 22nd.
