Small change of parade times for ESPN weekend

The Disney Stars and Motor Cars Parade at Disney-MGM Studios has been changed for July 31 and August 1 from 3:30pm to5:30pmdue to ESPN the Weekend. This new time will not be reflected in the July 16-31 edition of the "News, Hours, Extras" ("World Update"), but will be accurate for the August 1-15 edition.

July 31 and August 1:

Disney Stars and Motor Cars Parade -- 5:30pm

There was a mention that there would be a special fireworks show on 7/31 & 8/1. Has there been any mention as to what time these start?

This is our first day at the parks and can't wait to see the sports themed areas. That's the first I've heard on special fireworks. That would be a nice way to end our first night. I left my sunday open in case I like the espn weekend deal and want to repeat some things. I do have a ps for sci-fi lunch at 3:20. Looks like we can make the parade now. 25th Anniversary Celebration
July 31, 2004 - August 1, 2004

ESPNwill be teaming up withWalt Disney WorldResort® to offer fans the opportunity to see and hear ESPN personalities and the greatest athletes of the past 25 years through "ESPN The Weekend". The celebration will be fromSaturday, July 31 to Sunday, August 1, 2004.

"ESPN The Weekend" will include:

On-site ESPN telecasts including SportsCenter, Baseball Tonight, College Game Day and ESPNEWS

Star motorcades and conversations with network personalities and athletes

Sports shows in the ESPN Theater featuring ESPN commentators and athletes

A visit from ESPN the Truck

A special sports edition of the game show attraction "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire-Play It!"

An interactive sports area allowing guests to relive the past 25 years of sports

A SportsCenter and play-by-play "role play" area

An exclusive video of blunders and thrills.

Photo locations with life size cutouts of great teams , players and moments

Video screens in selected areas that televise the action from the Sorcerer's Hat set or playback great moments in sports

ABC Commissary video monitors will play ESPN

Designated areas with billboards that recount great sports moments and statistics

The event will culminate with a final tribute to the past 25 years orchestrated to a Disney pyrotechnics show exploding over the park's 12-story Mickey's Sorcerer's Hat icon.
