Starbucks in Downtown Disney

Well I can't say I am surprised but the locations seem odd considering that Forty-Thirst Street and Ghirardelli's both serve Coffee Drinks so the store location would be really close to those locations. Also why have a kiosk when they could just build another location somewhere on Pleasure Island or the West Side.:facepalm:

Well I do now
I saw this topic in the New Post section, didn't notice and just assumed it was about WDW.
Either way when the day comes that Starbucks invades DTD in WDW I hope they really consider where they put them. With Pleasure Islands lack of anything right now you would think a Starbucks would be an ok addition amongst the construction and restaurants.

I bet they're waiting for Disney Springs to develop a little bit more. The only thing that I think could stop it in WDW is that WDW's DtD is somewhat lightly trafficked in those money early morning hours. DLR's DtD has all of those hotel guests right there and everyone that comes in on the Mickey & Friends Tram nearby.

I like Starbucks as much as the next guy but this seems like a bit much. That's a lot of green mermaid for such a small area...
Not really. WDW is a city with an average daily population in the 150k-200k range. The city of Birmingham Al has a population of around 230k and they have 32 Starbucks. Huntsville, Al. as a population of 166k and has 13 Starbucks. By that metric WDW should have at least 10-12. In the end they will max at around 8.
