I have a question about the virtual boarding groups for Rise. We were there last February / March where you had to be in the park and right at 7 on the dot you had to refresh, select boarding, click your group and then accept (did it on Verizon service; not the complimentary WiFi).

I understand now we will do this same process basically anywhere the morning of (not in the park) with our confirmed park reservation for that day.

Are people still having success not using the WiFi, closing all other apps and refreshing the my Disney app about 30 seconds before it opens?

The park opening times for while we are there the first week of March is 1000; it appears they are calling boarding groups before posted park opening or am I off on what time the park opens?

I have read through the thread but was looking for the most updated information before we leave to head to Disney next weekend. We were boarding groups 5 & 7 last year so the girls are expecting a repeat this time

Yeah like DCBaker said a lot of the scientific boarding group strategy is gone. My current process is set alarm for 6:58, open one eye, open app, look at clock until it’s 6:59:45, count down in head and then hit join from the front page the second clock strikes 7 on the phone, tap through the selections quickly.

Thank you - I just found it with regards to getting boarding groups. I was still back in pages 150’s and was having trouble finding an update.

it appears yesterday they started calling groups at 0840 - which was before the posted park hours. Are guest allowed in before the park officially opens if they have a boarding group?

I was there last week. Failed with wifi off. Success with wifi on (strong signal in my resort room).
Once you get a BG it gives you an estimate on your return time.

The estimate is actually really helpful and, barring any downtime, very accurate.

We are going with 3 adults and a two year old, how will it work with the 3 adults wanting to ride? I assume one would have to wait and go by themselves after the other two ride?
