So I have been practicing for an upcoming trip. Each time it gets to the family and friends load screen, I have to click select all to get all my party. Is that because I don't actually have a reservation for that day, or have I done something wrong somewhere along the line? I'm trying to trim as much time as possible from the process.

You are correct - no one else will get auto-selected because you don't have a reservation for the day you are practicing.
