I did the update just now, and can't find the virtual Queue. Could you tell me where it is located? Thanks.

I don’t have it either. It’s not consistent for everyone as still being tested (as per reports)

*Edit* @DCBaker, I can access like you said by searching on Star Wars then I get the old My Status screen and can click around through there but MyQueues looks different than yours.

The virtual queue box popped up for me after I selected the three dash menu button on the bottom right of the MDE app - it was under the box for "My Plans".

You can also access by searching for Star Wars, then clicking on the first "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Status and Access" button.

Then click "My Status" and Join Virtual Queue.

This popped up the first time I accessed it this way -

Thank you very much, it worked when I used the second method you recommended. I searched Star Wars and proceeded that way.

Long story, Disney owed me 15 days so extended my Silver Pass during a blackout period

After many calls and being on hold they issued me a bunch of comp tickets as their system won’t let them change my AP expiration date and I have 7 days booked right now (4 of those at DHS, of course)

How do we anticipate backup boarding groups working? Would they be "intra" 3 hour window or would the 10 AM backup boarding groups go to the end of the day?

I would guess that backups would only be distributed for the 4pm slots. As in a “best case scenario for the last few hours.”

I'm so happy to be back on this board talking boarding groups. I don't have a trip planned until December, so I hope things have evened out by the first anniversary of the ride.

Or at least Disney transportation is worked out for guests staying on site.

If I had to venture a guess, they won’t even have them. Staggering the crowds gives them flexibility to control things even more and not sure how’d you even implement that with 3 separate windows.

They did note backup groups may be available -

"The app will indicate when there is no availability for a specific distribution time. Some guests may join backup groups"

Hey, what do I know but I would think backup groups are weird to implement since if 10am or 1pm people get delayed due to downtime/etc., you can always filter them in later in the day.

So maybe you won’t get the option of a backup group until post 4pm lottery?

Exactly. Who would take a backup at 10am and forgo a chance at 1pm & 4pm?

Disney IT couldn’t handle you grabbing a backup at 10am but then getting a group at 1pm and then dropping your backup “back into the pool”.

It’s a minor miracle the boarding groups even work the way they do at this point

Wonder if the boarding groups will be used during previews. Curious if its even going to be really necessary. Perhaps on days when HS is at capacity, to better control crowding, but apart from the next two weeks, HS still very much in the “green.”

FOP used to have consistent 90 minute wait times. Now it’s a consistent 5 minute wait. ROTR might be in a similar situation if they did away with the VQ.

Perhaps the numbers of people in the park will be so low the function of boarding groups will be just to space everyone out... but pretty much you are assured of a getting one if you have a park reservation, at least initially?

As much as I was looking forward to just “showing up at the park and getting on the ride” the hassle of this means this thread gets resurrected so that part makes me happy
