I messaged the WDW Guest services twitter account and they told me the virtual queue will open up at 8am tomorrow. So EMH and regular guests won’t be able to access the boarding groups until then.

Look forward to the website crash if they have a full park load of people all trying to get boarding passes simultaneously. At lesst how its been done the last few days the surge is regulated by people scanning into the park. Tis time... everyone eill already be scanned and waiting for the magic timer countdown...

So your boarding group stays in tact even when you leave the park? That seems like a mistake Disney wouldn't make. They should want to keep you hostage all day knowing you will buy more if stuck in DHS waiting all day to ride Rise.

You keep suggesting that punishing people is somehowthe only way things should be done. Cant guests spend money at other parks too?

That does not really help when you already have a three hour block of fast pass times made 60 days ago, I am just hoping this is gone by the 15th.
The thing is, once you secure a boarding group, you might have to let your FP's go by the wayside, if there is a conflict. If you have to choose between the new ride and a FP, I think it's pretty much about what you really want to do. For me, bye bye FP's!

I know a few that, at the time, boarding groups were still open after they rode the first time, so they were able to get into a second boarding group to ride.
That would be great but my fear would be that I don't get into a boarding group at all. If the boarding groups closed between 8:30 a.m and 9 a.m. as suggested somewhere in this thread, it sounds like there might be a long line at Park Opening, just to get through the turn styles to book. Has this been the case?

Yes. I was saying they opened new boarding groups around 11 am. Unfortunately it seems those who signed up then won’t get to ride.
What? So if the ride breaks down or is delayed, and you have a boarding group, you may not actually get to ride? Will they honor it another time or do you have to start all over again and try to secure another Boarding Group?

Agree - my experience is having the app open when you scan into park causes issues - close it, scan in, wait a beat and open it. If still not there close app and restart. YMMV
Thank you, this is really helpful. I don't want to get jammed up because I had the app open. In a few precious moments all the Boarding Groups could be gone. I have a friend going to the parks this week. I hope he knows the procedures for being able to ride. Unless folks do their research, there will be lots of confusion.

Ooooorrrrrr...

Disney could be just preventing mass revolt by not announcing ROTR is part of EMH out of fear of malfunction and truly is planning for it to be open at 6am for resort guests only, who will be able to join boarding groups on admission.

Don't boarding groups have a two hour window? Unless you have 2 FPs back to back, you ought to be able to keep at least one of them.

I’m staying at a Springs-area resort. Caught the first bus over and, after a drop-off at MK, got through the turnstiles around 8:40 (I think). Got boarding group 119. Now I’m wondering whether I chance it and try the bus tomorrow morning presumably around 5 or Uber over.

I think those who have ride Pooh, ratatouille, mystisk won’t be as impressed cause they have rode trackless before.

Your assessment would be incorrect. I've ridden every trackless Disney dark ride in the world. Previously, Pooh's Hunny Hunt was the only one truly done well - that made supreme use of the technology in a way that makes sense to the story and operation. Rise is jaw-dropping.
