Once again, because none of the boys at Rancho Santiago Community College responded to the fliers I posted in the halls asking for someone to fly their drone illegally over Star Wars Land for beer money, we have to resort to the aerial footage coming out of Florida via the amazing bioreconstruct Twitter feed.

Here's the latest images. This first one shows how Star Wars Land out there slots in to the overall park. I've taken the liberty of numbering the rides they have at Disney's Hollywood Studios, for those not familiar with that rather weak theme park that currently features 6 (SIX!) operating attractions, plus a handful of aging stage shows from the 1990's.

Existing Rides: 1. Tower of Terror. 2. Rock n' Roller Coaster 3. Toy Story Midway Mania 4. Star Tours 5. Alien Swirling Saucers (Mater's Clone) 6. Slinky Dog Dash
Future Rides for 2019: 7. Minnie & Mickey's Runaway Railway 8. "Battle Escape" Star Wars Ride 9. Millennium Falcon Ride

I know our good friends from the East Coast get a little testy when we point out inconvenient truths like the current ride/show roster of DHS, but I'm only mentioning it because I feel it's important to make a distinction between the two parks that are getting a Star Wars Land. I have no earthly idea how they are going to manage the maddening crowds that will descend on Star Wars Land at DHS, especially five months after the insane media attention that Disneyland's Star Wars Land debut will get in June, 2019. But God help 'em , they're gonna try out there!

Back to the aerial photos from biorecontsruct...

Simple: They turn people away from the park, add a hopper to their current ticket, and let them have a choice of three fully armed and operational theme parks (and/or two water parks) to go to instead, in order to ease their pain.

At Disneyland, when they close it to new guests because it's full, y'all have Pixar Pier to go to in order to get you through that heartache!

Mommy, I wanna see Star Wars!

Sh, we're going to Epcot where there's two new E-Ticket rides we can watch being built!

I mean, all it really takes is a sign and Morocco IS overflow star wars land. It's genius, it's magical.

Two more rides on the gondola and two rides on the tram to get back to the car? That's a bonafide Eisner complete park experienceTM right there.

Iger not Eisner’s approach.

A conversation starting to get outside of this thread, but 100% this was Eisner to a tee. Don't let the recency bias blind you.

Eisner opened a series of under built parks: MGM, HKDL, DAK and WDSP. The origins of strategic planning 8 experiences for a complete day were under Eisner's tutelage. Even if Iger was in the background in strategic planning.

Eisner's M.O. was to rapidly open new gates at the behest of previous ones. Iger seems nervous to expand and is instead continuing to plump existing gates and push off future ones. No better prototypical example than Hong Kong, which 100% would be getting a second small gate right now under Eisner instead of a second expansion under Iger. Probably the same applies to Paris.

Yes DHS has still been a mess (is it Iger's fault that Eisner opened a park with two attractions?), but get back to me when Iger hawks a product like opening day WDSP.

Good points! I always think of Eisners first half and forget about his second half.

How so? SWGE fits Disneyland perfectly. Much more than DCA.

Anyone saying it's the dumbest thing Disney has done is over exaggerating- but so is anyone who says it fits Disneyland perfectly.

Yes, there are justifications that can be made to rationalize its addition to Disneyland, but it's certainly not a perfect fit and there are other lands that could have been much inside Disneyland.
