You owe it to yourself to go see Infinity War on the big screen. I really thought they knocked it out of the park.
Probably will. In the summer we always do the double features at the drive in. It's great because the kids are out by the second movie. The van gets full of popcorn though.

Anyways, back to discussing The Music Man (1962), anyone else enjoy how Main Street USA uses instrumentals of songs from musicals from the 1940s to 1960s that are set around the turn of the century such as The Music Man (1962), Hello, Dolly! (1969), Oklahoma (1955), and Meet Me in St. Louis (1944)?
I sing those songs every time I walk down Main Street. It makes me happy. Most people have no clue what they are hearing.

Peter Jackson doesn't know what an film editor does.

LotR was really good. However, with Hobbit, Jackson inherited a mess when he took over and was probably strong-armed into trilogizing it. His 18 months prep for LotR was completely gone for the Hobbit. The studios involved weren't doing too well at the time and they were in panic mode.

It'll be interesting to see how this film does, and just how vital Harrison Ford is/was to the public's interest in the character.
I'm still hoping they cast Chris Pine as young Indiana Jones.

He would make a great Green Lantern but that would totally screw up Wonder Woman.

The Hobbit is the fault of studios wanting it to be the same as LOTR and tossing out all of Del Toro's prep and not giving Jackson any time to do his. Each film moved further away as Warner Bros tried to chase what they thought fans wanted...and also went to war with the Australian/New Zealand unions. Moral of the story, Warner Bros ruins properties. DC anyone?

Disney needs to buy Loony Toons before WB destroys them even further.

I think Han was young enough in the original triology, and this new guy is so close to that same age, it's going to be a hard pill to swallow accepting the new character. It's too close to when the original trilogy would have started.

Its not a new character though, its still Han just represented by a different actor. Look how many different actors have played James Bond, and most if not all were accepted because of the character they were playing. I see this as no different, we'll see if the public agrees or not.

As it is, The Hobbit films have three fantastic scenes I'm glad exist: The Unexpected Party, Riddles in the Dark, and Conversation with Smaug -- The three scenes that stuck closest to the book.

Why do we have Hyperspace again? Are they going to keep that for the rest of forever to capture the overflow from Galaxy's Edge? What a nightmare. I finally got to ride the original again. It spent half its time reopened without the blue tunnel lights functional. I have friends who have never even been on space mountain because every time we go, its this cheap overlay with nintendo graphic projections.

Hyperspace is here again because its popular and SW:GE hasn't opened yet. Once SW:GE opens, who knows if it'll be back.

My fear is that it will most certainly be back, and we won't have a normal firework show but instead a star wars one, and it'll be star wars celebration indefinitely, as if Disneyland has nothing else to offer. That's what happened to Universal with Potter. Every gift shop is pushing Harry potter.

Chris Pine is 37. Harrison Ford was 39 when Raiders of the Lost Ark came out (1981).

I'm sure 2019 will be the summer of Star Wars, because that is the new offering. But 2020 will likely be Marvel related with the new stuff coming to DCA.

Saw this on Twitter of Orlando's Galaxy's Edge. Good looking rock work. Does ours have this many little details already done? I could understand if we don't since California's is bigger, though.

Huh? Couldn’t hear you over the sounds of the new Mickey ride, the Ratatouille ride, Tron, and Gaurdians of the Galaxy under construction. But you guys got all that kind of stuff around your 50th too, right? ;)
