We all have to have our buzz words. Unlike the Imagineers, ours really matter.I swear, ya'll spew out the words "kinetic energy" more than Imagineers say "immersive".
And flying fish in a pond - more kinetic energy than in Batuu.
(This is where the defenders with no self-awareness will debate whether something in a billion dollar Star Wars land does in fact have more kinetic motion than a fish)
Trash MonsterThere's a whatchamacallit in a drinking fountain!!!

Now that RotR has been open for a little while, the land does feel quite a bit more complete and much less lifeless. It’s exciting to see a crowd of enthusiastic tourists now that there are a lot more people in Big Thunder Trail West. There’s still a lot of weird staff gossip clumps but more of the marketplace CM’s seemed “in-character”. While the land does feel much more complete, the lack of music is still really ominous.
See, and I didn't even notice because I just often don't. I can block it out without even realizing so a lack isn't a big deal to me.While the land does feel much more complete, the lack of music is still really ominous.
I don’t know about you, but I’m immersed. If only Diagon Alley could reach these heights of immersion.View attachment 448977
I’m... beside myself.
There seems to be a rolling vendor cart set up at the tunnels to Immersive Batuu selling rushed and uninspired Mandalorian merchandise.
I truly cannot believe the severity of these creative mistakes, and how it simply gets worse over time. Scott and Bob both said new experiences would roll out over time, and this is just the beginning. All we’ve gotten since opening is R2D2 which isn’t new, and hot chocolate.
Clearly guests want tangible and meaningful experiences, but this is what we get?
Disney has no businesses in storytelling anymore.
You didnt provide enough info. what do you mean at the tunnels? the tunnels that you enter the land through, if so are they in the actual tunnels or the outside on the dinseyland side or on the inside on the batuu side? what about the merchandise is rushed and unispired? not trying to knock you i just don't understand what you are upset about and that pic you posted does not tell me anything or show me anything to be upset about.View attachment 448977

All the merch at Galaxy’s Edge is thematically “in universe” as much as possible. These items are basic square screenshots of baby yoda, the same quality as if you printed your own shirt at Walmart’s photo center. You didnt provide enough info. what do you mean at the tunnels? the tunnels that you enter the land through, if so are they in the actual tunnels or the outside on the dinseyland side or on the inside on the batuu side? what about the merchandise is rushed and unispired? not trying to knock you i just don't understand what you are upset about and that pic you posted does not tell me anything or show me anything to be upset about.
Oh ok. now that i have more context that is very unbecoming of Disney but are we THAT surprised given what they tried to do to Main Street Cinemas??All the merch at Galaxy’s Edge is thematically “in universe” as much as possible. Spirit Jerseys and tumblers with cartoon baby yoda’s are just weak story telling.
The stand is set up square in a tunnel. It’s set under the themed Star Wars lighting fixtures, against the musicalscore.
Ha! I saw this cart tonight and came here to post about it. I don’t have much to say about the merch,View attachment 448977

As evident by Monsters Inc. - can’t wait to see everyone discussing how crazy to wait for Smugglers run is once fastpass is enabled in the near future.
And all the other excuses why it’s not really that popular.
