It will be an airport shuttle like service or hogwarts Express like concept of a cable train. Lower cost and safer/reliable. If it is not that you may just get an elevated moving walkway that us well thened.

...walk out of the park like anyone else, I assume. Or if you are at the hotel, they may have "Magic elevators" that bring you back to earth and you take a regular bus./shuttle to the parks.
What park? You mean DHS??? Then you must have a ticket with hopper option.

By the way I guess that you can't leave and go to universal... Do you?

Chandrila was Mon Mothma’s home planet and was (for a time) the capital of the New Republic before it moved to Hosnian Prime (which we see in TFA).

“Chandrila Star Line” sounds like it could be the equivalent of “Black Spire Outpost” - but I’m expecting the hotel to have a name that’s more like a title for a piece of content to match “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge” - pure speculation of course.

Because visiting batuu was the final bit of the stay (my 'after' term was not the best). The idea was a starship... you board.. you travel, you have a starcruiser experience.. you visit batuu.. you return.

That is what it was pitched as... a self-contained cruise ship experience. The entire experience was NOT DEPENDENT on SW:GE. The sales pitch was actually one that made it sound like it could be done anywhere... middle of iowa.. It was only the 'top your trip off with a special GE experience..' that basically anchored it to Orlando.

But now that we've seen what they built.. and how thin it looks.. they may have changed to relying on stuff in GE more than they originally pitched.
The best way to think of this project, and how Disney is pricing this, is an Adventure by Disney to a galaxy far, far away.

Depends on price. Disney resorts are already so overpriced, I still think this will be $1000 a night per person, with a discount for kids. Remember, park tickets will, almost certainly, be included, regardless if you use them, and you won't use them much for sure.

A cruise is not that expensive per person per night for a family. A family of 4 should easily get a Disney Cruise for less than $1000 a night TOTAL. And the floorplan of this just doesn't look to have much more than maybe a common area, a bar, and a restaurant. Cruises has tons more stuff.

I think the MAIN draw for a stay there will the EEMH at least one night where SWGE will be a Cosplay convention with no lines for the rides. Even as small as it is, having a dinner theater type experience with maybe 4-500 people will end up with not much interaction per guest.

You know I just thought - what if as part of the hotel stay, they get free reign of the land AFTER HOURS?
They don't need to come through the front gates. Maybe after the park closes at 8 or 9, they get to come have the land to themselves - a extra magic hour just for them? Hmmmmm

The fact there will be a themed bus/shuttle taking one from the hotel to the parks would seem to indicate special time in the SWL.

I've been saying that all along, and right above here. That HAS TO be a part of your stay. That is the HUGE Tangible perk with no set price, so the exorbitant hotel price needs it for justification.

Pretty sure this has been assumed to be part of the experience by most people from the first announcement. :)

Except when I asked about that very thing... they said it wouldn't be exclusive time. Things may change.. but that wasn't in the initial pitch to customers.

It would have to be a fairly small group or it will seem like the big spenders were not getting their money's worth. If it's on the order of the Early Morning Magic crowds, I doubt that would fly. I'd expect better than that.

I'll say it for the 10,000th time. When this was pitched... SW:GE wasn't the lead part of the offer they were trying to lure you with. It was dropped in at the tail end like 'oh as a bonus.. you will also do...'

Everyone has had their eyeballs on SW:GE and I've been trying to tell people.. the way they tried to sell it was WITHOUT SW:GE.. and it was very convincing.

Which is why when everyone is going on about being in the parks vs in the experience... it's a total flip from what the company was pitching as the product/offer.

Alrighty. Not sure why the attitude.

I know all of that.

I have still thought from the beginning that SWGE will be part of the experience in some way. It would be utterly ridiculous for it not to be.

Which makes ZERO sense, since they are building in within spitting distance of SWGE. So,as you arrive with your Star Wars obsessed kids, or spouse, you can SEE SWGE, but have to tell them, nope we're here for the hotel!

..plus they are building the shuttle docking area - to go to SWGE.
Exactly. Would make absolutely no sense for land access not to be included in some way. And what in the world is the shuttle for if not that?

While I doubt they will, would be cool if instead of just pulling up in front of the hotel like a normal hotel.

They should build an Earth Launch center, where you arrive and board a shuttle to be launched up to the spaceship.

Could use the same launch bay and vehicle as the Hotel to Galaxy Edge connection.

This facility would include check in and a place to get into "uniform". And have your luggage loaded into Transport Containers
