How hard is it to get a decent spot for this show? If the show starts at 9:30 what time should we start staking out a spot and any tips on where are good spots?

I've heard that the dessert party spots are good and up close for the projections but not good for viewing the fireworks. Anyone have that experience?

We liked our view from the dessert viewing area. Everyone crowds the front fence but if you hang towards the back you get a good view of the projections and the fireworks and there’s less people back there.

I hung out just in front of the projection towers the last time (which is right behind the dessert party area) and it was a great view all around for projections and fireworks. I got there about 30-45 mins before showtime.

Wait, the projection towers are in the back but isn't the dessert party area near the very front where the chinese theatre is?

When I was there it was about 10-20 feet in front of the projection towers. This was when they didn't have the movable Star Wars stage though. So they might have moved it since then.

So long as you’re in front of the projection towers and not too far off to the sides you’ll be good. Grabbing a spot isn’t as hard as HEA - some nights we did so within twenty minutes, other nights we walked up as it began. Just be aware of the tape on the floor designating walkways.

Bumping an old thread rather than starting a new one.

I had heard that this show was modified following the opening of Toy Story Land, is this correct?

I believe that's what I was told. So I assume a lot less pyro in the show?
To be honest I prefer the current version. Many more new rooftop launchers, more roofs used, more rooftop flame jets, more in park effects.

The original felt too much like you were watching a show from another park.

Search YouTube for a version including the “Solo” addition and decide for yourself.

Would there be an updated version coming soon on your site? Not that I can keep up with all the new ones as it is, of course! ;)
