Star Wars Ep. III title is....

That's interesting. I remember reading that the Return of the Jedi was going to be called Revenge of the Jedi. Lucas thought better of it because a Jedi doesn't commit revenge, but a sith does. :drevil: I can't wait :)

I think it's a nifty play on the original 'Revenge of the Jedi' working title. I was at ComicCon when it was announced today - and saw plenty of Revenge of the Sith t-shirts by afternoon.

I like it. I have higher hopes for this one than I did for either of the previous two. We know where Episode 2 left off, and we know where Episode 4 begins. This has to be the darkest installment since The Empire Strikes Back, which I believe to be the best of the series.

I see on starwars.com that there's no mention of whether or not James Earl Jones has signed on. I find their lack of info disturbing.

My guess on James Earl Jones is no, but I suppose it depends on how exactly they decide to end the movie - at the same general time as the rest of the film, or in a clip of the future. If it's at the same general time as th rest of Ep III, I'd guess they'd stick with Hayden, on the assumption that Anakin/Vader's voice changes over the time period before Ep III and IV.

Well, they could have called it "After further consideration, Anakin resists the temptations of the dark side, defeats the Sith and lives happily ever after with Queen Amidala, and the Jedi knights continue to oversee peace and harmony thoughout the universe, and that business about episodes IV through VI, well, never mind."

So since they didn't, I guess the new title fits what we know is to happen.

What was not to like about Episode II? Yoda rocks!

I think Barnum is correct. James Earl Jones supposedly recorded his lines last year.

IMDB lists him as Darth Vader for Revenge of the Sith, so he is definitely in it.

As for this title....I don't like it. Lucas could've come up with something better.

Cool - I like being right ;)

OK - Jokey bravado aside, I can't remember where I read or heard about it and the only source I have to back this up is a total Star Wars nut friend of mine. Though he nearly stopped talking to me after I beat him three times on the trot at Star Wars Trivial Pursuit

I like your title better. :) As for Episode II, Yoda was the saving grace of the film. I can't tell you how quickly I tired of a woman ten years older than her suitor to act like she was in the 5th grade passing notes about who she likes or doesn't like. And don't get me started on Anakin....what HORRIBLE acting and now I must endure through another film with him in the lead.

Indeed. The acting and even the dialogue of episode II have drawn their share of deserved criticism, but the fight scenes were good. :)

If you watch it on DVD and skip the cardboard love scenes and JarJar (the latter really goes without saying) the film improves no end. But it will never be another Empire.

I agree with you completely. I did like Episode II, but the acting and love scenes were hard to watch. I consider Attack of the Clones as an intro to Cartoon Network's "Clone Wars." Great story and better acting. Because of Clone Wars, I am anticipating Episode III.
