There will be no stars at MGM for the 1 weekend event as far as I can tell.

The Official Disney Line is that they will have more characters arounf during that weekened, but not much more.
STAR WARS: Episode II Attack of the Clones

Dates: May 17 through 19, 2002

During the weekend that Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones is released
nationwide to theaters, the Disney-MGM Studios theme park will celebrate the
film's opening, with additional Star Wars characters in the theme park,
limited-edition pins available for fans and more Star Wars characters in the
"Disney Stars In Motorcars" parade.

With our yearlong focus on the "100 Years of Magic" celebration, we will not
hold a month-long Star Wars-themed event this year. Instead, our weekend event
will enhance the "100 Years of Magic" celebration and give Star Wars movie fans
the chance to mingle with more than 20, camera friendly, Star Wars characters
and to purchase Star Wars-themed, limited release pins, available May 17-19 at
the Disney-MGM Studios.

No, they're not gonna be in the movie. (thank God) This is just another common myth going around. It's just like everyone though Christopher Walken and Leo were gonna be in it.

It wasn't just a rumor, it was fact. Lucas did admit it, there is a public statement from him online. They did a few scenes, but none of them made the final cut of the movie
He did it for his daughter, and the info was never suppose to be leaked, but it was. So the public flipped, but he said he never intended on actually putting them in the final cut.
BUt it wasn't just a myth

he DID it so that we non-NSYNC fans wouldn't have to see much of them, but when they release the DVD, they can say there are NEW SCENES WITH NSYNC and the 14 year old girls will go wild and demand that their parents bye the DVD for them for $40...

Right, I just checked the whole official star wars website, and there is zero mention of nsync anywhere. I checked everything from all the new stuff to all the really old stuff. Don't you think they would mention it if they knew for sure???

Go to www.movies.com and you'll read the whole true story of how this thing developed.
I think that it would be just not too smart of giving the pleasure to the Nsync girls of watching their idols for some seconds, while millions of STAR WARS fans will complain about it. I don't know what is worse SW freaks complaining or Nsync freaks on SW movies. Just look what happened with Jar Jar Binks. I think SW is far beyond from being just a trilogy: it's a cult now, which by the way it's totally unfair to criticize SW, it's just to easy to criticize, right.

The best place to go for info is www.theforce.net That site is legit. It has all the rumors, fact and official lucas releases. It did happen. There is no way they'd put it on the main starwars site because too many die-hard star wars fans would lose their minds if he did

Well..

Lucas is such a money hungry cheeseball that he would keep them in the movie just so he could get more 13 year old girls to go...sorry..i lost A LOT of respect for that man..."No..we will NOT release an episode 1 DVD until all 3 movies are done" .... this way..people will buy the VHS..and then..when the "non-existant" DVD DOES come out..they'll buy that too....

N'Sync was in teh filming. Their scenes did not make the final cuts. Too many hard core StarWars fans complained. The band was pretty upset about it. There was an article with the band members about it in USA Today about a month or so ago.

Also, Episode 1 is out on DVD. I have it. And it didn't cost 40 dollars. It was 16 at Walmart. Unless I missed something somewhere in this posting and I made a mistake those two things were said. But at any rate, Episode 1 is out on DVD and it was only 16 bucks.

The issue was that Episode 1 was released on VHS first and they said that it was not coming on DVD anytime soon. They also made you buy the deluxe VHS package to get the widescreen version of the movie. Then later (the same year I believe) they released the DVD. I think the DVD got released partly because so many fans complained that the quality of the VHS tape didn't cut it in today's market.

DVD production takes MONTHS, he knew damn well that he was going to release a DVD around christmas of that SAME year, but if he TOLD anyone that, they wouldnt spend the cash on the Special Edition 40 dollar box set...so he basically said there would be NO DVD until 2007 or something like that...Im sorry..thats just VERY wrong to me...he lost a LOT of respect for me over the years, and that TOTALLY sealed it.
