Star Wars Dessert Party at DHS

Just saw some info on this at the Disney Food Blog. I didn't know that DHS was doing nightly fireworks during SW weekends, and I didn't know they had a dessert party during this time too. It'll be interesting to see what they're both like.

I wonder where the parade viewing is and how much space is taken for this. I don't want to do this...but we will be there the weekend Mark Hamill is in the parade. I'm thinking to avoid losing hours to stake claim curb side it might be a good option...albeit an expensive one for our family of four.

that makes sense based on where you go get your wristbands. Thanks. We are already doing the character breakfast and I really don't want to fork out another $200 for this just to see the parade.

Last I checked, it was sold out every single day except the last day of the event. So I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's probably no longer an option.

We're on for 05/30. I can't wait to hear some details once the first weekend rolls around. I saw the SW themed desserts at the H&V buffet and I'm hoping we get something similar.

Having seen some pictures of the crowds for parades last year, I'm thinking this will be money well spent. Someone mentioned they limited this to 50 people per day, so hopefully the reserved area will allow for a good spot with ample elbow room.

I can't remember the exact number of how many are there for the dessert party but it is a relatively small number. And, I don't think you'll be disappointed with the offerings or the location...from the info. I've received about it it looks like it's going to be a good time for all involved.

**And no, I can't share details...you guys will just have to wait and see =)

I was going to *like* your post until you teased us with info you won't share. ;)

I wouldn't object to a PM with any info that can be shared that way...

It just didn't work out for our schedule. We have the breakfast the first weekend 5/31 and the following weekend we only the have the morning in MGM so for us it would have been the parade only. Then we have to leave for home. After much discussion, debate, looking at ADRs and FPs it just didn't work for us this time. Husband and the kiddos didn't want to give up the breakfast w/characters. Still if it is a success might be something we try next year. I look forward to hearing the reviews.

I don't think I'd want to shell out for more than one of these experiences per trip. For your crew, it sounds like the breakfast made more sense. My girls would be scared of all the bad guys at breakfast, so that was a no go for us. Whereas this package fit our schedule and priorities perfectly. Well, my priorities. The girls could really care less.

My thoughts exactly...one is enough per trip. But hopefully they will keep them around next year and people can try other options.
