With the possibility of the Wonders Of Life pavilion opening up for the holidays.. it makes me wonder about Body Wars. I remember it as being basically the same exact ride as Star Tours. Is really the same exact ride.. in thrill and intensity or is my mind fooling me?

What do you all think about these 2 rides.. how would you rate them vs each other?

From what I remember.. I thought Body Wars was better.. the movie or film that was used with the ride just seemed more realistic to the ride.. like the ride vehicle seemed like it really could have been some type of scientific vessel that would be shrunken down. But when I then rode star tours.. it didnt fit for me as well because the ride vehicle didnt look like anything from star wars that I ever saw. And like I said.. the movie in star wars just didnt seem as crisp and realistic as the Body Wars used.

While we are on the Star Tours subject, I gotta ask a question that has plagued me for years. Anyone else notice the REALLY strong smell of rubber at the unload area of Star Tours? It has always been that way, from as far back as I can remember. Anyone else agree with me on this?

Let me preface my opinion with this - I hate Star Wars.

But, Star Tours is a quality attraction. It gets an advantage because it is linked to already popular themes/characters, but the ride still tells a story in an engaging way.

Body Wars is nice, but it lacks personality. I like it, as I like almost all simulator rides. It would be a shame to let it be dismantled or scrapped, but in its current state its really not much more than time-filler between other attractions/things-to-do.

the best part about Star Tours is the wait in the line to get there. As for both attractions as a whole. They are all boring.. outdated.. and one time only deals.

I'm not much of a fan of simulators, but I have to agree that Star Tours was much better than Body Wars. The movement in Star Tours made you feel like you were flying, but in Body Wars you just got jerked around. Plus the dialogue in Body Wars was really cheesy--Elizabeth Shue, "We just went through the HEART, LUNGS, and BRAIN!" And finally, the Star Tours queue was a lot more interesting.

I REALLY like both of them, but if I had to choose one right now it would have to be Star Tours, but Body Wars is a VERY close 2nd. I actually view Body Wars with the same amount of excitement as Mission Space and Test Track and I miss not being able to take a spin on the Bravo 22-Niner (And did I catch a niner in there? What were you talking from, a walkie=talkie?).

I definately think Star Tours is the better overall attraction. Besides the fact that I'm a huge Star Wars nut, the queue and general theming is far better. Also, I think the motion on Body Wars is waaaaaaaaayyyy too jerky to be enjoyable. Star Tours is much more smooth and realistic overall

Star Tours is fun but not something I feel the need to ride multiple times in one trip. Like others have said the queue is the best part. As for Body Wars, I rode it once when I was twelve and haven't had the desire to ride it since. My dad got so sick he had to go sleep it off in the car for a couple of hours. So for me Star Tours is the best, hands down.

Star Tours, without question. Body Wars made me motion sick even as a kid, but I could ride Star Tours all day.
