How many simulators are in Japan's Star Tours attractions? California has four and Florida and France each have six. So how many does Japan have?

I`d take a guess with 6. It was designed at the same time as the MGM version, and similarly got a brand new building.

You're right marni1971! There are 6 simulators in STAR TOURS at TDL. I got the information at this Japanese website.

I think JP's version opened on July 12, 1989 and FL's version did not open until December 15 of that same year.

^ That`s right - so I assume both were in development at the same time. They may possible have the same layout too; DMGM and DLP are identical in every respect bar the exit store orientation, so Japan may be too. The show buildings look identical, and the satellite building looks reorientated - like WDWs HM compared to DLC.
