Star Jones got fired!

Incase you hadn't heard..

First, Star Jones does the unthinkable, and tries to trump Barbara Walters by announcing her leaving the show on Tuesday. She was supposed to make the announcement Thursday, and that alone PO'ed BW. Then, she turns around to the news media and says she was fired, etc.

Well, that really made BW steam (and really, did she think she'd get away with it?) and she was told not to return on Wednesday, and instead BW talked about how she felt betrayed by Star.

Props to BW. Star needed to be put in her place, i cannot beleive she tried to pull that.

With all her other junk too? She's got a 77% annoying rating at amiannoying.com and that's a survey of 19k people rating her - she had the nerve to say she doesn't think the research showed she was going down in the ratings.

Anywho.. Meredith is gone too What happens to the View now? Rosie is supposed to come in.. but I dunno..

Who thinks ABC will can the whole show by November?

Merf I am so glad you posted this. During my normal morning routine they were talking about it on the today show and were all like she was the glue that holds the view together. I was like please. I am one of the view-ers that stopped watching the show (or tivo-ing the show) religiously because of the 24-7 wedding blitz. She did a HORRIBLE red-carpet job on E! too which I guess is why she isn't doing that gig anymore either.

The one thing I do agree with is that on Today they said she should go back to her roots and become a legal analyst for one of the cable news networks. That actually might be a good change for her, and liven up cable news a bit.

The good thing about all of this is that now Conan O'Brien will have a whole slew of new Star Jones jokes on his show.

I think it is really funny that she tried to cover up the fact that she was getting fired by saying she was quitting. Then she got fired!

I heard that it was in Rosie's deal that Star couldn't be there when Rosie came. And yes, i think that the show will get canceled soon!
