Standing in Line?

I agree with this, but for ONE exception: Families with small children. Often, small children cannot "hold it" and need to use the bathrooms when they have to. What is a parent supposed to do? Say they have been waiting an hour and the kid has to p** right now? They shouldn't have to choose between giving up their spot and having to start all over again, just to take their child to the potty. Or should they just have their kids p** in their pants????

Holding spaces for someone that is out enjoying something else in the park rather than toughing out the queue like everyone else is unacceptable...

In this case, the parents are not out enjoying themselves, they are taking care of their kids.

All others, however, really should just wait like everyone else. I can see one person going for some drinks and coming right back, but having half the party off doing a ride while the one or two poor suckers have to wait and defend the spots really makes for a stressful vacation for everyone. It's just not fair, IMO!

I suppose there are a few exceptions, but please people don't make it a habbit...

Spoken like someone who dosent have kids. If were only talking minutes here what does it matter.

ok, i'd have to say....it depends on the situation. because there have been times where we would be in line for something and i would have to use the bathroom (like if had been waiting a long time) or really was thirsty. but you know, when there's one or two ppl waiting for like 6 ppl, i'm not into that! its really annoying! and like some one said, if some one just has a blanket sitting on the ground w/no one on it, thas stupid. but if there's some one sittin w/the stuff (and they aren't taking up a LOT of space) i don't get mad! the past new year's eve, my bf & i went to epcot. and we really wanted good seats for illuminations. well, we were standing up against the wall thingy on the bridge by mexico...we started there at like 10...waiting for the midnight show. at like a 1/2 hour b4 it started...there were ppl pushinc & shoving us. we waited that long to have some ppl we don't know up against us! it was quite annoying. and, if you saw that some one was waiting....would you ask them if they were using the space that their stuff was in? j/w!! sorry if i said sumthin wrong...just my opinion!:lookaroun

What I have a problem with is ride queues, when people push through or climb over the rails to get with the rest of their friends and family who are almost at the ride. I don't think I'd ever leave a queue expecting to push back in. Obviously it's different with emergencies or if you had to leave the queue for some reason, but if one or two people queue for their party of eight who then come to join them, I have a problem with that.

They can expect some heavy 'tsks' as they try and squeeze past. Luckily it doesn't seem to happen that often.

Parades are different. I don't expect EVERY member of the party to be there ALL the time waiting for the parade. As long as there's room and they don't incovenience anyone else, I don't have a problem with one or two people joining their family. However, sometimes people aren't very considerate and squeeze in where there isn't room, or where they obstruct the view of people who've been waiting a long time. I don't agree with that. In the past I've joined my parents in their parade spots after finishing a ride I've been on, but I wouldn't do it if it inconvenienced others, either obstructing their view or squeezing where there isn't room.

Well, that was long, boring and nobody cares! :hammer:

No it wasn't long and boring. I totally agree with you about the parades. I firmly believe in squaters rights as long as you aren't one person squating for 20 lol. But children will have to use the restroom, get a drink if its 90 degrees outside, etc. It is really annoying for strangers to practically sit on your lap during the parades. I dont agree with people who think its ok for one person to get in line for a ride and then have ten others join them just before boarding. that isn't right. if everyone did that think how that would effect the rides...the whole point of having the line is to wait your turn to ride...not one person wait the turn for ten or so. As said before exceptions should be made...someone needs restroom, etc.....
the thing I hate is you are getting in line and one person runs in front of you....then your group and several others get in line...then here come 20 more people running to join that one person in front of you!
