Standard vs. Courtyard views

I'm looking to book a room at WL for two nights.
There is a $55.00 a night difference for a courtyard view vs. standard room. Is the view that much better? Is it worth it?

I would pop for the difference.

We booked standard last time, and we then got upgraded free to woods view. I was so glad we didn't have a standard view! A lot of the standard view rooms also open out into the lobby, so it can be loud. As long as you don't mind noise from the pool, then I'd go courtyard view. I swore I wouldn't book standard again!

If I were staying for a week, I'd say no, don't spend the extra money.
$55 times X nights = bucks.

For just 2 nights though? Yeah, maybe go for it and enjoy the view.

Have fun.

Note: there are 2 courtyard views - inner and outer.

Inner faces the main WL pool, inside the main Y shape of the lodge.

Outer courtyard view faces the pool at the Villas at the WL....

I personally prefer Woods View, and request the North Wing, higher floor for a change of a MK view.

We go for the WL rooms with bunkbeds. I think they call them courtyard views. In 2004, the bunkbed room faced the lobby. The noise did not bother us. In 2006, the bunkbed room had a ground level balcony that faced the Villas. The room was down the hall from the merchantile store. We had a great time and as long as the kids did not have to share a bed, everything was good.

I agree! How much time do you plan looking out your window?? :)

Save the cash and buy a few drinks and kick back! You're going to the World!:sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:

Standard view will look at the parking lot. Courtyard view will have an assorted view of the main pool, Bay Lake, villas, villas pool, and interior courtyard. Woods view, which you may assume from the name, should look at the woods, but Disney apparently thinks the parking lot, bus area, and loading dock are also woods (you really want to be looking at the otter pond).
