Hello, I was wondering if anything exciting goes on anywhere on Disney property for St. Pats Day. Any kind of celebrations? I did a quick search but nothing came up. I Usually celebrate in NYC but I was thinking of Disney this year. Maybe the new pub in Downtown Disney does something?

This St. Patty's will be the first for Raglan Road, the new Irish pub at Pleasure Island. Maybe you could give them a call to find out their plans. I was there a couple of weeks ago and the place ROCKS! I'm sure that St. Patty's will be CRAZY!:D

Id just call restaurants and stuff and ask what they do. Some might and others not. I dont know for sure, but that's what I would do.

Ragland Road was great when we were there just for dinner and came back later when the live band was playing and there was a step dancer. The place was hoppin and I would imagine that it will be hoppin on St. Paddy's day even more so.

WOW!

For St. Patty's Day, I'd stick with NY or Chicago for sure!

You can always fly out the next day for WDW...if you're feeling up for the trip!

Let's see, freeze my rear off in NY or Chicago or be in warm sunny Florida, enjoying St. Paddy's day at Ragland Road, hmmm. No contest, Florida wins in my book.

It's been said several times already, but I'm sure Raglan Road will be the place to be. I'm sure that Epcot would be a close second with the Beers of the World stand over between Canada and the United Kingdom, the beer stand in Canada, the beer stand with the half yards outside the Rose and Crown, the Biergarten in Germany, the Sam Adams at the American Pavilion, etc... Heck, I don't think there is country that doesn't have beer. While I don't think that any of them will have green colored beer, it would seem like a fun place to hang out for the day.

St. Patricks Update

I received some information from mousesavers.com:

Raglan Road Celebrates St. Patrick's Day the Irish Way
Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant at Downtown Disney will host an authentic Irish celebration of St. Patrick's Day on March 17. Live Irish music and dance, favorite Irish foods and a wide selection of Irish beers will mark the first-ever St. Patrick's Day celebration at Downtown Disney's newest venue.

Raglan Road's house band Tuskar Rock will perform traditional and contemporary Irish music. Jay Shanahan, Fear an Ti (that's maitre d' in Irish), will entertain guests with a unique mix of Irish music and storytelling. Champion Irish dancer and native Dubliner Danielle Fitzpatrick will dance a repertoire of Irish dance steps. Irish dance troupe Celtic Pulse, led by Myra Waters, a former dancer with Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance, will perform high-energy Irish step dancing throughout the evening.

Classic Irish fare with a modern flair will be on the menu, including fish and chips, Irish stew and shepherd's pie. Authentic Irish beers and whiskeys will be on tap. Raglan Road's retail store Shop for Ireland will stock custom clothing and novelty items to help revelers celebrate St. Pat's Day in style.

Raglan Road is open from noon to 2:00 am. On March 17, there will be a $15 cover charge per person from 4 pm to 2 am.

Pleasure Island celebrates St. Patrick's Day March 16-18, from 7:00 pm to 2:00 am. The island will turn "green" with live music, videos by Irish artists, leprechaun characters and stilt walkers. Pleasure Island club admission is not required for this event.

From an Irish-authenticity POV, it's St. Paddy's day... Not St. Patty's ;)

If you're being authentic, that is! :drevil:
