Hello Folks
Does anyone know if historically Disney has ever done anything special for St. Patrick's Day??
Going up this weekend for fun at the MK and a day at Mount Dora and Thomas the Tank Engine.

Thanks
Carlos

Make sure you go to Epcot. There is some fun ceremony at the UK pavillion. I´m not sure if they are doing it this year too though... I would guess they will. :)

DON'T GO TO PLEASURE ISLAND! I don't know what we were thinking, but the first time we ever went to PI it was St. Paticks day. Wall to wall drunks. My husband actually had a panic attack (first and last thank goodness!) Granted we aren't "party" people, but hey we did go to college and were only around 24 at the time. Still it was insane and and full of people so drunk they could not stand up, I got beer spilled on me. (and the person who did it was so drunk they didn't even care. )

It was a shock going from MK to that. I had forgotten about all the locals that would be there.

I agree with DisneyPhD...I was there for St Pat's Day about 7 years ago and Pleasure Island was wall to wall people! They had "leprechauns" walking around the island and I think there was a game or contest going on. We didn't have any trouble getting into the clubs, but once you were inside, it was just as crowded as the streets outside.
