SSE - done?

Well, in light of new information.. I think it's time to reconsider the stance toward SSE and its level of "done."

Epcot CM previews were Thursday, resort-wide CM previews are Saturday.

Doesn't that mean the attraction is done and will not have major changes? Why else have such previews and openings?

I voted for minor tweaks, but for me they could go a long way in sprucing up the ride. Some pretty effects and music is all I really ask for on the descent.

Well, it was also my 1st time getting on it, so I am not sure....

Lots of crappy "stars" and a bright cartoonie jetsons video for descent,
a new narration that sounds like an elementary school lesson, and a musical score that is almost non-existant and soooo forgettable.
So based on earlier reviews, I guess not much new to report.

Unless they are just desperate to open it in time for xmas and new years and plan to close it down again in January, I can't see them doing anything significant to it.

It was pretty much open 12-1 give or take a few minutes either way....

The "clue" we were given was it usually is about an hour, top to top... so 10 of to 10 after is a good time to hang around.
I got there about 11:00, waited with a few others until it opened at 12 ish.

I just don't see how they can be done based upon what I'm hearing (have not been on it yet). Surely Siemens would not spend that much money and make that big a deal about it and have it stink! I guess we'll see...

What are you implying? That repairs are coming for SSE?

another post about this??? why do you care so much? It was kind of tired before and now half of it is less tired. The downside has always been tiresome.

Walt Disney World is making megabucks right now. They are doing great. They will serve up what they believe they need to in order to stay in the lead. If they believe the ball has enough for most visitors then that is the way it will be.

I think the Disney Company knows what is doing in the fact that they are making money and attendence is up Up UP. It isn't in the business of solving the peaves of imagineer wannabe peeps. Go fall in love with Sea World or something.

I can tell you this... I rode it today around non disney geeks... people in the right place at the right time, and as soon as we were off the ride there were discussions on who they could complain to, on how they should write letters, and more. It is really a dumbed down version of it's old self, and regular guests were taking notice.
