Thanks, quoting that movie never gets old and is good in almost any situation, any time of the year. at least for me.

On topic, glad the squirrel escaped without harm.

Quite a classic movie. My family uses it all year long too.

Agreed. I am glad the right decisions were made to keep the squirrel safe.

I was actually at the Grand during this, trying to get on a monorail to the Contemporary. The attendant at the Grand's station was constantly fielding calls to his radio about how hilarious this is. Once we finally got on a monorail, the driver got on the mic and just kept saying "Never in my 14 years....". Funny, but about made me late for California Grill.

Well that turned out better than the Bird vs The Incredible Hulk Coaster....

I had to go in search of this video once you mentioned it. That poor bird. Though stopping a roller coaster isn't exactly the same as stopping a monorail, haha. Kudos to the monorail pilot. Poor squirrel, he must have been so tired.

I read some of the comments on a news site about the squirrel, and one of them said that Walt must be looking down and smiling at one of his cast members, the mono rail driver, and proudly saying that is one of mine.

Sorry folks, I would have been PO'd if I had been waiting for the monorail. I live way back in the middle of nowhere. Where squirrels are a rodent just like a rat and treatedd as such. These "cute" creatures are a real pain in the...........

It's not unusual to see three or four dead in the road when I drive to town.

They do make a good stew though

Dutch Wonderland (small park in Pennsylvania) had their Grand Opening weekend for the season on 4/28-4/29 so on 4/29 (Sunday) friends took the drive there from NY - about a 5 hour drive, I think. They planned to stay for 3 days and drive back. They caught the last hour before the park closed and on the way out asked an employee what time the park opens Monday morning. The employee told her they are only open on weekends until school lets out. "Sorry folks, park's closed. Moose out front shoulda told ya". Their website advertised GRAND OPENING so she didn't think to check park hours! We ALL got a good laugh out of that one!!!

 That's funny! I'm glad others enjoy playing the "Vacation quote game" too!

Has anyone ever wondered exactly why the family panicked over a squirrel? When he yelled, "squirrel!", it was as though he had shouted "snake!". I guess the ridiculousness of the situation made it funnier.
