It does surprise me that with the 60th coming up there isn't already a FL dark ride rehab on the books. I've read potential reasons why, still surprising. I do have to keep telling myself DL is NOT WDW and they do things by a different time schedule. Halloween party dates as a perfect example haven't been announced yet. I know WDW has announced dates (and since they are cash machines wouldn't surprise me if the first one was next week!!!).

Yeah, DL plays the cards closer to the chest. We should be getting a Halloween announcement sometime within the next month or so, shouldn't be too much longer.

I've been waiting not so patiently for them to give us a holiday overlay schedule. I'm going to be there September 9-12....if I'm lucky, they'll be opening Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain up on the 12th but I'm trying not to get my hopes up
Bummed about the Matterhorn, but that's life.

Hate to sound negative, but the chances of Mansion/Haunted Mansion Holiday being open on those dates are slim. The parties usually begin late September, with the exception of last year because of Friday the 13th. Space Mountain will most likely be open as its regular "self". The dates should be coming out sometime next month.

Looks like your last day in the parks will be the first of the Halloween parties.

Nope. They're all closed. The parks will be shops and dining only for five months.

A lot of us have had the same fear this year before our first trips. And yes, you will be bummed about whatever major attraction is closed for refurb. But you will also have an amazing time regardless!
