Me and a friend (who I took to WDW this spring break) are determined to go ouir senoir year. She thinks we should go during spring break(last week or two in march) and I think it would be better in the summer(mid june). Anyways which is better crowds/weather wise?

Spring will most certainly have better weather. Most days in a Florida summer have afternoon thunderstorms. They usually only last for an hour or so, and roll in around 4 PM. Also, Florida summers are really hot to most people that haven't lived in Florida all their lives. If you absolutly can't stand temperatures in the upper 90's then just go spring break.

My personal prefrence is actually going in June. The problem with going over spring break, is the fact that it is spring break. Crowds are going to be a bit thicker, and I've found that crowd levels in June or July (excluding the 4th) are not too bad. Of course I'm a native Floridian, so I don't mind the heat :) .

Have a nice trip!

I would say go for Spring Break. The crowds will be higher than in early June, but you are from Ohio, right? Its nice to get away from the cold and crappy weather of late winter.
I've been in February, March & April as well as July August & September. March is the best, IMHO.

Easy Choice

Well, first off, you can't go wrong either way can you.

If I were to choose, I would suggest June, with the crouds smaller and the weather not TOO bad (by Fla standards). Then again you may enjoy the crouds of a lot of folks in the same age group around during spring break. It does add a little different spin on things.

Enjoy either way!

Heat or crowds?

The spring-time is certainly nicer weather-wise, as by June, it's almost always VERY warm - even in the evenings - however, you might have more crowds at the time of spring break, so it really comes down to personal preference. If you like it HOT, then June would be fine, otherwise deal with the possible crowds and go in the spring. (P.S. - It can be quite crowed in June too, and then you have both negatives, so I'd personally choose spring). Of course, you should have a great time whenever you go.

Ditto what everyone else said. Would you rather have more enjoyable weather but nasty crowds? Or would you rather have to deal with the awful heat but have slightly smaller crowds?

Personally, I'd go with June.

Would it be possible for you to go right after you graduate? Maybe even the next day? That would be in early June most likely, when some kids arent out of school yet. -Steph

I'd go with June as well. I have been during both times of the year, and even though I'm from a part of the country that is bitterly cold most of the year :( , I didn't find the temperatures to be horrible, especially if you play it safe and keep up with giving yourself plenty of liquids, etc.

Spring break is a nice early escape from the weather back home for me (since it is usually still cold here in April,) but as mentioned before, the crowds are a little insane. I went to WDW last June for the first time and the crowds, while not *extremely* low or anything, were much lighter by comparison.

Either way, you're bound to have a great time! I always wanted to take friends during our senior year but I could never find anyone crazy enough about WDW to go with me. :( Have fun planning!

I've only been once during the summer, and never during spring. Now, I was there back in either '87 or '88, and got a sunburn while waiting in line OUTSIDE for JII. Now that we have el nino, la nina and its basically gotten more hot come summer time since then, I would suggest spring. Not to mention that hurricane season starts June 1. It's up to you though.

If I were given the choice between spring break or June, I would go over spring break, unless it was the week before or after Easter. I love to get away from the colder weather. We went last year during the last week of March and the weather was wonderful. I would much rather put up with crowds rather than hot weather.

I'd shoot for 2nd week of June. I went there last year, and for moderate season, it felt empty! There was a LOT of rain, but avg temperatures. Not too shabby! Of course, that was sort of an off-year for tourism, though. There are no special events then either (to my knowledge) that would bring in large crowds- except for the FIRST weekend in June, which is typically when 'Gay Days' arrives.
