Spring Break Crowds?

I know that WDW is extremely crowded during Spring break but can someone give me specific dates? Spring break is different for certain parts of the country and I wasnt sure if the "spring break" that is always mentioned is mainly referring to Floridas or not.

For someone who has actually been during that time..was it as bad as everyone says it is?

I had the unfortumate experience of being their during spring break. It seemed like lines for everything took longer. Perhaps the worst was standing in line for counter service for a burger and then the longer line for condements. By the time we found a place to eat (outside) all of our food was luke warm at best.

Just the same, we had an enjoyable time. If you're considering it, then it may be helpful to consider the crowds as you give yourself an extra dose of patience.

Cheers!

I will be there March 6-11, so I am praying (please!) that I miss the SB rush by a week. Touring Plans and other sites, list the SB season as being the last two weeks of March so I am hoping they are correct

Our Spring Break up here in Canada is mostly spread out through March. In my case, it falls on the third week of March, as it does for quite a few Canadians.

We have ONLY been to WDW during our Spring Break, so I have nothing really to compare it too, but I do know it is CRAZY busy that week. I have had friends look at my pictures of our trips and say, "Man, I don't know how you guys can stand waiting in those long lineups!". But I personally don't mind the crowds at all. As long as you plan for them and use FastPass and EMH to your advantage, it always seems manageable to me. As weird as it sounds, I actually love being there with so many fellow WDW enthusiasts!!! :p

We have been there for Spring break in april, all weeks except the first one. And we found the crowds weren't bad at all! one year we went, the parks were empty, 10-15 minute waits for ToT, RnR, Space mountain and a few other big attractions. We have never seen it packed for spring break like it is for the holidays or in July.

I always though SB was March for college and April a break for elementary/high school?

It is. Last year my children were all in elementary/high school. Now my oldest is in College and her break is the second week of March. That might just be for mass though? I know my nephews who live in the Carolinas and are in elementary school have their break late march.

I'm in Dental school at the University of Iowa, and our Spring Break (as well as the undergrad) is March 12-20. I'm heading to Disney for part of that so hopefully its bearable :)
