Spring Break 2011.

Hello, I am planning a trip in april next year, but I don´t wanna go during the spring break.

Dou you know whwn the spring break will be?
I plan on going april 15 to 23.

Most colleges have their Spring Break in March, or at least the Massachusetts colleges all do. High schools all over the country do their April vacation around that time though, so beware the crowds of teens & Tweens.

With Easter being on April 24, you are going to get the massive crowds that have the week before Easter off from school.

As far as I know, there is no set date for spring break. it can be anytime in March or April, typically colleges will have it earlier and everyone else will have it later. Going April 15-24 you will be smack dab in the middle of it, maybe caching a bit of a breather closer to the end of your trip. I think the later in April the better.

I would be weary during any time during april this year. With Easter and Passover falling out about as late as they possibly can, spring breaks will vary all throughout the month of April.

I think I will cancel that trip. We went last year on spring break and it was insane.
I will start planning for another date.

I think it's a hard thing, trying to plan a Disney vacation around when the kids are in/out of school. If you have kids, it's one thing, but if you don't you have to be so careful to not land in the middle of a vacation or spring break.

When I went in October '08, it was the European school holidays, so there were tons of international guests. I've never heard that many different languages in one spot (which was really cool) but it was pretty crowded, and still really hot.

My son's HS Spring Break is always in March, but he gets out in the middle of May, so April would be too late. If Easter is in April, they have Good Friday and Easter Monday off.

MOst Michigan college's are generally out the last week of FEbruary or first week of March. Public schools are generally off Good Friday through the following week.
