spreading reputation around

Guys? Read this, after spreading 7 or 8 (lost count) reputation points, the system puts me on hold for 24 hours... LOL

LMAO, it took me awhile to figure out. I think it just means that the person giving you a reputation is either right at 0 points total, or slightly negative. I've found that if their reputation is like that, and they try to give you reputation points, you're nether harmed or helped.

I just did a test on my own post and hit the reputation feature. It showed me a window that said "your reputation score with this post is even" (or something like that) the post was the post I was clicking from.
Below that, it had the amount of reputation points I have.

I don´t understand what that message meant. I am glad you can´t add points to yourself, but don´t know what the message means... 'even'????

It means that your score for that post is 0. It could mean that nobody has give any points (positive or negative) to that post. Or it could mean that there have been equal number of positive and negative points given for that post. Or at least that is the way I understand it.
