(I was the shuffling feet my brother was a doorbell and some other stuff). Also got picked out of the crowd to dance with the african troup in EPCOT once.

As hot as it's been here in New Orleans today, I 'd love to get drenched with that much water...

My boyfriend got picked to do that when we were there in April. Plus my dad was Captain of the boat. They both said they had a lot of fun plus it was REALLY fun to watch them!

Many moons ago, when they were still doing the backstage tour as part of the watertank show, I was chosen to be on the "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" bee. I think it was like '89 or '90.

<---------We got picked to be the people on the boat under attack....I wish we could have bought a video of that, because you can't see the replays at all, even though they have TV's facing that way. :)

All in all, it's great fun, and I highly recommend it.

..way to go Sillyspooky:sohappy:

I'll be there in a couple of weeks....maybe I'll see ya...are ya still working over at Animal Kingdom?

oh, by the way....I was hit with 1000 gallons of water a few years ago while I was visiting Florida, but I think they called it a tropical downpour.

Another Money Maker!

Hush! Don't give WDW any more ideas. They sell tons of photos to visitors on Splash, ToT and many others. Can you imagine if they decided to sell videos to people that were in the Catastrophe Canyon preshow or the other stuff? I can just see it now "Castastrophe Members". Maybe this does have some merit. Heck, if people will pay $10.00 or more for a still photo then a video would sell for $40.00. After all, we must capture these special moments.

Reasons to always have a camera.

For the 25th Anniversory celebration a Cast Member came by during the MK afternoon parade practicly begging people to take part in the Castle Celebration show.

My family volunteered. Twenty five families got to come out on the Castle stage holding signs for each of the 25 years, waving banners etc.

That was one of very very few times none of us was carring a camera:cry:

Oh well, we know we were there and will alway carry the memory. .;)

I had my camera that day, but no family or friend to take pictures. Oh well. I had the experience!

The whole time I was told to "never look left". (They expected me to be a "dumb tourist" who didn't realize that there were two huge loads of water to my left.........) I didn't get very wet though. There is mesh hanging up which blocks most of the water. The hood on my raincoat didn't cover up my whole head, so my face got pretty wet. Also, a little water made it through my coat....... on the left side.

By the way, PM me if you want to know the secret to being picked............:lookaroun :zipit:

That's cool!
I was once picked to scream in the Sound Effects tour at Universal (I was around 7), it was kinda funny now that I look back, but I was kinda embarrassing when I was there.

My mom and I thought the same thing when my dad and boyfriend got picked. We asked a CM about it and he said since some director talks during the movie they show us, they can't sell it. My mom wanted one to take home to show my boyfriends parents since they weren't there to see. It was kind of disappointing that we couldn't get one.:(
