Hi everyone,
Little background--So i'm in the process of switching jobs. Today is my final day at my current job, and I thought I'd be starting my new job straight away. However, they preferred that I would start Dec 9, due to the upcoming holidays and all, they figured it would be easier for everyone. Very kind of them, indeed.
SO, with the unforeseen "vacation" time available, naturally my first thought was "Hmm, Can i squeeze a week at WDW in?" December is my absolute favorite time to be down in WDW. I'm eying up the first week in December (obviously).
Flight prices are less than ideal at this close point, but thats not a huge detterent. My question is, what suggestions would you guys give me in this situation? The family and I are usually pretty loyal to the BC, and would prefer to stay there. I'm just not sure how much time we'd be spending at the pool in December. I'm aware its usually hit or miss from our times down there. I spoke to the BC and they have vacancy. I know they were offering free dining and all, but when I called I guess that offer has since passed unfortunately.
So with that said, there's really nothing forcing me to stay at the BC other than its our favorite resort and I'm sorta a creature of habit. We've stayed at the Swan/Dolphin numerous times, have no issues with it, and are also able to get the government rate at the Swan/Dolphin which looks to be about $169 a night (its really closer to 220 when you factor in the annoying $20 for wifi and $15 for parking). The problem with the S&D is that they are booked to capacity on Dec 6, so i'd be out of a room beginning that night.
Do you guys think they'd have availability if I showed up to the front desk that day and asked? What would you guys do in this situation? Are there any packages still available im missing? Sorry for the rambling on!
