Help me to run myself into the ground - PLEASE!!
Hi guys and Girls!!
I hope you don't mind me putting this post on here but I had a thought (At Last)!
On 16th September 2001 I am running in the BUPA Great North Run. It is the largest half marathon in the world (apparently) with about 47,000 people running.
I was hoping that I might be able to persuade some, or all of you to sponsor me for running. I would like the money I raise to go towards the running of the wdwmagic. com website and forums.
We all know how hard Steve works both here and on the "main" web site and have made donations to him previously. I personally would hate for this site to close and I just thought that maybe I could do my bit to help the site continue.
Please don't think I am asking for huge amounts either. I was thinking about, perhaps $5.00 or something like that. I just thought that even if just a few people agree to this, it would help Steve and at the same time give me a bit more of an incentive to finish.
If you have any comments on this, please let me know on this thread, If you want to sponsor me, just send me a pm, with how much you would like to sponsor me, then when I have done it, people could make the payments using the pay-pal system.
Then, when I have done the run I will post my finishing time (I am hoping to haul my wobbling frame around in under 3 hours-yes I know that its a long time, but it will really be an achievement for me) and I will scan my finishing medal and participant number just to prove I have entered, and, more importantly, finished.
ONCE AGAIN, FREINDS, PLEASE DON'T THINK I AM DOING THIS FOR ANY OTHER REASON THAN TO HELP THIS SITE OUT.
If it appears to be a no go, then fine I have no poblem with that, I just wanted to help a little.
