Not sure why everyone thinks it's Boba Fett at the end, I'm expecting it to be the black dude from the first planet.
If I had to guess, I'd say it's Moff Gideon. His character has been talked about but not seen yet. They did frame it to be a big reveal of someone that we should know. If they were going to introduce a boba fett or someone like that, I think it will be the last thing we see in the finale. Not sure why everyone thinks it's Boba Fett at the end, I'm expecting it to be the black dude from the first planet.
This was my least favorite episode so far. Kind of a shame, if you're gonna make the trip to a known location at least make it worth the stop over. I am starting to have a few concerns about the series. Still on board, just cooling on the series.
I adore the slow methodical nature of the show! I don't need a long narrative to stretch out more than needed, the "shortness" of the episodes is a pleasant surprise.Disney live action is a marathon not a sprint. This is the main reason I don't mind at all the slow pace of the narrative.
My hunch is there will be many visits to Tatooine and we will see the planet in many epochs. Maybe even Mos Eisley's origin story. (No doubt it will be depicted as a forested paradise before global warming -reeee) I'm afraid politics is still overshadowing artistic freedom in that faraway galaxy.
That said, I thought the depiction of mos eisley verging on becoming a true ghost town was absolutely pitch perfect.

My concerns are mostly in the actual storytelling and cohesiveness of the world they're building. The first 4 episodes are all important; they set the scope and rules for this little corner of a big universe, they hit important beats to reveal character moments, and take us on journeys we always knew had to exist in Star Wars but haven't been privy to in this new version. This episode feels like a big step back, the story was not that engaging compared with the previous ones, the side characters felt out of place (tragic for me because of my eternal girl crush on Ming-Na Wen), and we re-trod the most visited Star Wars planet for not much more than fan service.
The previous episodes felt very well crafted and full of purpose, I just didn't feel any of that on this one.
It did and it didn't. The main thing it really did was reinforce that he is now the hunted and nowhere is safe for him. He is now all in on protecting the child, there is no going back. Of course I think we kind of already figured that anyway.Don't really see how this advanced the plot much.
Prediction: You know all that talk about Star Wars merchandise being lower than in the past? Baby Yoda is going to completely turn that around.
I agree that Kennedy needs to go, but I don't think she will really have a lot of influence on season 2. I would bet Iger has said something to the effect of, let Favreau do his thing, and be hands off. Although it's baby steps, they seem to be learning. We will see how much they've learned when they announce what they are doing early next year.God! Ruin Johnson really really F*'d this up. We (as in us diehards) get a little win here with Mando. Kennedy will F*Up season 2. She has to go.
