I mean thats not the only one, introducing Yaddle of the Jedi Council. Last seen in the Phantom Menace

Admittedly we dont know much about her, but there does seem to be a trend with all three Yodas that have been force wielders. Id wager the Baby is just a another one in the species and possibly no direct connection to Yoda.
Dang I completely forgot about her.

The doctor in the first episode was wearing the same insignia of the cloners in the prequels.

I think it's safe to assume that's a clone of Yoda.

Maybe his species was having genetic trouble reproducing but then the evil cloners told him the attempt failed and hid the child. Or they got a DNA sample unwittingly from Yoda.

Perhaps. But I more so assumed they want him dead or alive to clone him now. So that might be the only motivation behind this group, not that they initially made him.

It is a possibility for sure. But what makes me think it isn't, is the premise of the show in the first place. It's not Boba, it's the Mandalorian, It's not ig88, it's ig11. I just don't see them going down that road. Maybe we get a reference to yoda, but I just don't think it's a clone, of him anyway. We do know Anakin has a higher midiclorian count than yoda, so there was obviously a blood sample out there. So the opportunity was there for it to happen. So would I be shocked if it was? No, I just don't think that's the case here.

Maybe it’s an endangered species and the cloner wants the baby to save it.

I would like, since we know yodas species is rare and powerful in the force, that these guys are trying to get it for what will become the first order. We know they said they would explore the beginnings of the first order. So maybe they want it, so they can in essence use it as a weapon. Maybe by the end of this, the Mandalorian returns the baby to its parents. And that is how we get the back story of yodas species.
