SPOILERS: Star Wars' ANDOR Seasons 1 & 2

If they released it in blocks or as 90-minute episodes some people would complain how long and boring each segment is until they get to the action.

Let them try it and lets see. We live in an age where Netflix drops a new season of something and people bing many hours on the first night. My wife binged the entire new season of Cobra Kai in one sitting. I don't at all see why people wouldn't watch 90 minute episodes once a week over 4 weeks.

It was a better episode because something got accomplished. I'm surprised it went off fairly smoothly and they weren't exactly nice about it.

Disney should have just released this in 3 episode blocks. If that's how it was shot, then that's how we should see it. Episode 3 was good, episode 6 was good as well. I'm guessing 9 will be a standout too. I guess you have to stretch out that content for D+.

Though it was obvious since his introduction the kid would die and Andor would get his manifesto.

I think this is really excellent. Perhaps in part I accidentally was away and clustered watching episode 4-6 over a couple days.

Good episode. As mentioned much better when stuff happens. They are doing a good job making Andor into that rogue with a heart of gold setup.

My concern is does he now go a whole another separate way and we spend the next few episodes developing some brand new characters. I was hoping/assuming he would stick with Vel and whomever else survived and so we’d have some continuity with characters. Wonder if he reunites with Bix.

Well Bix does get a figure so I assume she would be more important than she has been so far.

Doesn't he still need to find his sister? Would guess the back six episodes will be about that?

I would guess that it would be a motivation but I’m not sure he actually finds her - might end up finding proof that the Empire killed her or such which hardens him and inspires the fight against the Imperials.

Why does it need to be wrapped up this season? I mean we already know that Andor will have a season 2, so why can't it go into season 2?

You know it wasn't that long ago when tv shows used to go many seasons without wrapping up a story line. Its what kept an audience engaged. I basically mentioned this same thing in the She-Hulk thread, not every plot line needs to find its conclusion in one episode or even one season of a show.

You know it wasn't that long ago when tv shows used to go many seasons without wrapping up a story line. Its what kept an audience engaged. I basically mentioned this same thing in the She-Hulk thread, not every plot line needs to find its conclusion in one episode or even one season of a show.

But they should at least mention it again so we don't forget. We still don't know what the entire Lord of the Flies kid village was all about.

And there is still time to do that this season, and in season 2. Its been confirmed that there will be 24 episodes total for the series over the 2 seasons.

So there is time for this whole thing to start getting fleshed out. Good. So far it's been slower than the first season of the Walking Dead.

I don't want to speak too soon, but it seems like they at least have planned a sufficient episode number and broadcast time to allow for the story they want to tell and how they want to tell it to unfold. A couple of D+ series feel like they need an extra episode or 3 to get all the storytelling and entertainment down properly and feel unnecessarily rushed for no reason (given that it is a medium where you can have as many episodes or as long of episodes as you want without stuff like TV show windows to constrain you).

I got to remember that Rogue One wasn't exactly a speed demon. They spent time jumping from planet to planet. They break Jyn out of jail, go to Jedha to learn of a message that only Jyn & Gerrera saw. Try to rescue her dad but f'up. Get dad jokes from Darth Vader. After all that they don't want to blow up the Death Star but want to roll over and surrender. By the time Jyn and Andor decided to get the plans is when the movie started to cook. Then everyone is dead.

I don't disagree, still a bunch more episodes left this season. And 12 more for season 2. So I'm sure the sister story will be wrapped up by then.
