I am not sure I am watching the same show….as of now I think Andor is the best of the Disney shows…I don’t even get nothing is happening…finally something different for Star Wars

I don't think it will beat Mando for me. Could it be the next best? It could as there's still a lot of time left. It is different and that's not a bad thing. It just needs to balance out the slow with the action. As of now the first 2 episodes were a bit too slow. They leaned a bit too far into the exposition without any real excitement to balance it out. The 3rd episode was much better so hopefully the rest of the season follows suit.

this show kind of reminds me of the slow start of wandavision. once the pace picked up, the show was very good. i hope to see the same thing here.

Finally watched this today, did all the episodes back to back. I guess because I just watched them in one block I didn’t really feel like it dragged much or anything though I can understand why they released them all at once. So far, it definitely feels like the second best Star Wars show after Mandalorian to me.

I don’t really care anything about Andor as a character after Rogue One (which I actually think was the weakest Disney SW film until Rise of Skywalker) but I think that works in the show’s favor as I have no particular pre conceived notions or expectations that need to be met. Just entertain me and I’ll be happy.

Excited that it’s a longer season so I hope there’s something me self contained episodes in there that entertain on their own.

That’s what I did too… maybe it works better in a movie format… it never dragged for me… I even felt the tension building up even in the supposed slow episode 2

I understand why they released the first three episodes at once. It did feel like things were starting to happen at the end of episode 3.

The pacing of episodes was a bit weird. I didn't feel the first two had a distinct purpose with a beginning and end. I get that it's an anthology story but each episode just seemed to end randomly for no rhyme or reason. I feel like the first three episodes could have been tightened up and made into an extended 60 minute premiere or something.

Regardless, the premise will hopefully pay off and production values are stellar as always. I am enjoying it thus far.

I noticed that, too - the first two episodes didn't end; they just stopped!

I think it just shows the confused nature of these kind of TV shows. Where they don't know if they are TV shows or movies, but just broken down as if they are TV shows.

Just gave it a re-watch and I love it. It is gorgeous. And more than anything there's this guy:

Release the Black Series figure and Lego UCS ASAP.

Enjoying so far. This feels like one of the first D+ property in a while where they realize they are doing a TV show not just a long movie cut into pieces.

SW Fans: Disney's going to "Disneyfy Star Wars!!"

Disney: Protagonist puts a bullet in a witness's head after accidentally killing someone.
Has that been the complaint with Disney star wars? I guess it depends on the definition of Disneyfy. Most seem, like myself, to complain about the lack of vision and treatment of the brand. We knew right away they weren't going to go all G rated with it during ep7 and Rogue one. Andor right off the bat kills that informant. And Kylo stabbing solo through the chest wasn't all that tame either.

As far as this episode goes, I'm a bit surprised they went with another complete episode of exposition. This show is really well put together from a technical standpoint. They could learn a little something from Mr Miyagi. They just haven't figured out how to balance their shows.

The show looks beautiful, but there just isn't enough to it right now. They are also wasting an awesome performance by Stellan Skarsgard, whose playing dual roles. Both of which seem to be opposites of one another. Around the Rebels, he's gruff and intimating. But in the presence of Non-Rebels he's flamboyant and colorful. Even his voice changes dramatically between the two variations.
Yea, I like Skarsgards character as well. He could become a great star wars character. Hopefully the show hits it stride next episode as I don't know if the average viewer will stick around too much longer if it stays this slow

It was when Disney bought LucasFilm.

Yes, there have been other non-Disney things in Star Wars, like patricide. But then again, TLK had fratricide. But those doing the killing were the villains.

This is a rather profound moment for cold-blood assassination by the 'hero' of the story.

Just a point being made about the online fandom... ;)

I thought rogue one was worse. In the show they were following and going after him. In the movie they were on the same team. Lol

I can see the Disneyfy thing when it was announcemed. Most thought the same with the marvel purchase. But I don't recall much of that after ep7.

I’m finding the series OK so far. I’m fine with a slow start if it’s going to lead to something big.

Episode 4 was great with being on Corusant and everything going on so close to where the Emperor is. I felt it really added to the stakes.

While Obi-wan wasn’t perfect I did really enjoy the series but I feel they are soon going to struggle to fill in all the saga gaps with series and movies.

They need to go in a completely new direction but you can tell they are too scared to
