I thought this was a really interesting interview and insight to the series' most recent episodes:

So is she supposed to be a mutant? Or is that a back door way of saying that she’s an Inhuman and the bangle acted like the Terrigen Mist to change her? I assume it’s the former but I guess we’ll see.

The direct tie in to The Marvels is cool. Guessing that event will happen from Carol’s prospective very early in the film. I wonder what name Monica will use - will they go with some sort of “Marvel” idea or just use Photon or such.

Liked seeing the community rally but the Damage Control guys were too buffoonish.

So they had her Embiggen and kinda look like her comic counterpart. I mean at least that’s an interesting way to use energy constructs. Still don’t really understand why she didn’t just have her normal powers though. (I’m not really bothered like I know some are, just seems like an odd decision)

A lot of dangling threads - details of the Red Daggers and the relationship to Kamala’s great grandmother, what happens to Kamran, what happened to Kamran when his mother died and gave h powers, are the other Clandestines alive and who we learn anything more about them, details about the bangle including the possibility of a second one, etc. Just feels like there is a clear season two anticipated. I don’t think a second season was announced though

Oh wow, that was a GODAWFUL finale!!! What was the point and aim of damage control? Was that lady working for some nefarious group or leader? They were just terrorists. There was absolutely NO plot or narrative in that finale. It was pretty much the Rise of Skywalker of the MCU.

This can't be the approach of the MCU. First we had the mess that was Moon Knight and now this. It was good for the first 5 (really 4 1/2) episodes and then BOOM it crashed down hard.

No interest whatsoever in seeing She-Hulk after this mess!

SQUEEEEEEE!!!! We got the Carol Danvers moment!!! (hoping this is Kamala learning she can shapeshift rather than a character switch - it could play either way) And all the great embiggened moments.

Wonder whether they'll go with her being Inhuman, mutant or Kree?

I LOVE this show so much! From beginning to end. A show that completely lived up to its promise and stuck the landing.

My fave Disney+ show BY FAR.

Was it very on the nose in some of its messaging? Sure. But all of the awesome relatable family moments and embrace of culture MADE the show for me.

Just pure love. With extra love for Iman making Kamala so endearing.

Happiness.

I never thought I'd say this but... I'm SO looking forward to The Marvels!

I really enjoyed it.

Twitter is freaking out that she's not Inhuman... which we all knew from the start. Perlmutter destroyed Inhumans as a viable group. It'll take a while until they're rehabilitated. But it seems, the X-Men are definitely out on parole.

I like how Twitter is all freaking out because Bruno said "mutation", that doesn't automatically mean X-Men or even the X gene (now I do know they played the X-Men theme but still...). It could still very well be dormant Kree DNA becoming activated by the bangle, ala the MCU form of terrigenesis. And who do we know that is an expert on the Kree who just happens to have had a cameo in EP6 and will be starring with Kamala in The Marvels....

Also remember we just had Black Bolt in the MCU. So while I wouldn't expect a new Inhuman show or movie any time soon, I don't think Feige is keeping them banished any longer either.

They also played a little of the X-Men animated theme song after he said the word mutation so yeah I'm guessing that she is 100% a mutant.

This makes my heart happy.

I was also thinking about how while the MCU has gotten darker over the years (with some exceptions here and there), the two things that just made my heart sing in recent months were No Way Home and Ms. Marvel. (I certainly liked other stories, but these two fully grabbed my heart.) And I think it's because of the ultimate optimism and lack of cynicism of both Tom Holland's Peter Parker and Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan. There's precious little innocence and just good ol' wholesome sweetness in the world or in Hollywood these days. But it's there in these two characters. And that gives me hope for the future. For a lot of things.

Yes I'm aware they played the theme in the background, I even said the same in my post, guess you missed that.

That in itself is not a smoking gun however. Yes Feige could decide that Kamala is now a mutant. Or it could just be a simple Easter egg for fans, as a wink to whats coming in the near future. Or it could be a fake out by Feige, remember Ralph from WandaVision.... So I wouldn't put it past him to do that again as a way to get more attention to The Marvels.

We'll have to wait and see how it plays out in The Marvels next year.

To be clear Inhumans are mutants too, so yeah no matter what she'll be some kind of mutant.

The question is whether she'll have the MCU version of the X-gene or whether she'll have Kree DNA or something similar like an Inhuman. The fact that the bangle activated the "mutation" leans more into the Inhuman side however, but we'll see.

Another thought, they could just do away with the separate groups by melding the two origins together and just call them all "mutants", since that is what they both are anyways.

They can still have the Kree do genetic stuff to early humans, which is what causes the latent mutated gene to form, I'll call it the MCU-Gene. And then by exposing a person with the MCU-gene to alien tech like the 10 Rings or the bangle causes the MCU-gene to activate and powers to form. We saw that with Shang-Chi and now with Kamala.

And now that I think it about it more that is very possible what they're going to do. The Marvels is now looking even more interesting.

Or being exposed to the mind stone. Since Agatha seemed to indicate that Wanda had innate powers.

Call it being exposed to anything cosmic. Which would explain how Carol getting exposed to the Space stone activated her powers, same with Monica and crossing hex barrier in Westview.

Which now that I expand upon that, is this how we also get the F4 into the MCU as well? Interesting possibilities when you go down this path......
