okay since this is the spoiler thread....
Kamala Khan has a crush on....
Her great Uncle?, Great Great Uncle... Or some other more direct family member.....????? Thoughts?

I do wonder if he ends up actually being her cousin?

But the hiding behind the menu and him touching her arm seems too romantic for him to be actual family.

I don't know.

A first cousin relationship has historically been allowed by society/law. That's a third degree familial separation (self to: parent-sibling-child). Tho, in some places, it's banned.

Beyond that, all is game except direct parental lineage. A grand-uncle is four degrees away.

And a reference to a certain Eternal...
I meant to say I liked the Kingo reference - and the joke that her mom preferred "Kingo Sr." whereas she preferred the current iteration, who are of course
the same person
. That was cute. As was Kamala and her crush fanbabbling over their favorite movies and performers.

Oh heck, the whole darn thing is just adorable. I'm loving the show so far.

I wouldn't want every Marvel story to be the same and I love that there's something for everyone - comedy, action, historical, sci-fi, family drama, political thriller, and yes, Disney Channel teen show. :)

Okay, so I fully accept that I stupid love this show. I'm still put off by the change in Kamala's powers and its source, but if I didn't know what it was originally, I'd be totally good with the route they've taken. Although doing genies right after gods seems... redundant.

General note following the previous cliffhanger - yay for her crush being a good guy! And that he genuinely likes her, too! (As he should - she's awesome and adorable.)

More specifically, the writing on this show just makes me giddy with delight -

"I'm a Jinn."
"And tonic?"

"Law & Order reruns"

"Dude"
"Bro"

"Brown Jovi" (note: I totally want to see an extra scene of this band performing lol)

"I swear he gets my name wrong on purpose"

"Are you okay?"
"No, I'm not."

Also loving how Kamala's culture and faith are positively portrayed as playing important roles in her life - both in the support and guidance that each provides. I liked the quiet scene with her getting advice from the imam (?). It was as easily and casually shown as any scene showing someone talking to their priest or rabbi or whomever. Inclusion is at its best when it shows us what we all have in common rather than what separates us and that's something I really love about this show. A family is a family is a family. Friends are friends are friends. Pressure is pressure is pressure. Romance is romance is romance. We are all more alike than different if we simply look for it.

This has become my fave Disney+ original show. It has absolutely stolen my heart. And Iman, too. She's just so endearing. Really loving a lot of the characters/cast - Kamala's family are fabulous, and Nakia is terrific, too. Really looking forward to the next episode and my dose of Marvel happiness. :)

Confused about the whole Djinn/Clandestine thing. They want to go home and want Kamala to help them. But by doing so, that could cause catastrophe? Yet, if they do NOT go home, they will stay in this world and also cause havoc?

Am I straight? What are they supposed to do? Seems like a Catch-22 situation. Whether they stay or leave, catastrophe is the result. What are they supposed to do?

I don't understand the rush. It feels like an artificial conflict when they've been in this world for at least decades; what's a few days or weeks as (in theory) Kamala figures out how to help them but safely?

Also, wouldn't they want to find Kamala's great-grandmother first before going back to their world? At they just going to leave her in our dimension?

I'm guessing this group had something to do with her disappearance and the rush to leave is to keep her from stopping them. Just a guess though.

Wasn't there mention of two bracelets? Presume great-granny gets hold of the second and eventually bequeaths to Kamala. Or it could get destroyed in the inevitable Big Battle.

Also presume they will get back to their 'verse - or at least Kamala's crush will and the bad guys won't - so their separation can help with the Kamala/Bruno 'ship. But again just a guess.

Happy to watch it all play out. :)

This show just charms and delights me. The dialogue sparkles. The fight scene choreography is unique. I enjoy the character relationships and interactions.

I love how the Ms. Marvel costume is building through each episode.

Two notes though - another cute boy for her to like? Weren't two enough? lol And a very abrupt ending that seemed a bit odd.

This continues to be my favorite D+ show to date in its weekly dose of warmth and joy and youthful spirit, and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes. But it's too bad it doesn't seem to be connecting to a wider audience though, given the viewing numbers released.

Would this have been better with some distance between it and Moon Knight (I think it would have helped) or were people just turned off by this show specifically?

no surprise that Kamala was the source of the stars at the train but was a good episode. I liked seeing Kamala and her mom reconcile and bond in this episode and not wait until the finale. Will the second bracelet show up in this last episode? Will Kamala be able to use powers without them?

The Red Dagger leader seemed to known Aisha but how? Thought they might have some exposition about the connection there.

I'm really enjoying this show. It's a nice change up compared to the other Marvel shows.

Confused about this last episode. Are the Clandestines gone? Did Kamran's mother put her spirit inside him? Are we now reduced to a battle against Damage Control?

I love love love how they keep building Ms. Marvel's costume piece by piece, episode by episode!

Another lovely episode. I really adore the mother/daughter relationships in it. Not only did Kamala get to reconcile with her mother, but her mother got to reconcile with Nani, too.

Also, the actor playing Hasan... oh. my. goodness.
