Original Trilogy overlay for Rise of the Resistance since this movie looks like it’ll be a stinker making 2/3 of the sequel trilogy divisive and 1/3 completely useless now. Great job Disney. Might as well change the land to be more timeless and celebrate all of Star Wars now since I doubt the board or shareholders would approve of any Diagon Alley type expansions now that you’ve screwed the pooch. I’ll be seeing the movie in about 2 hours and instead of excitement it feels like I’m going to take a test. Once again, great job 👍

I have no plans of seeing this before coming out on Disney plus, but I think it depends on how the film does starting at 2nd weekend the film at the box office. Rise of the Skywalker is going to have a big first weekend, but the legs of the film is what I want to see. That is going to tell us about the fanbase interest.

This land to me has the problem is being connected to the era of the new trilogy and that means nothing really can be done with adding stuff from the Mandalorian.

Meh. Only hardcore fans will care.

I believe this. Remember when Disney were building Pandora and many posters on here were yelling about how nobody would go as nobody cared for or liked the movie? Well FOP is still rammed every day because it's a great ride. So either millions loved Avatar and still go as fans, or the great attraction pulls them in.

I’d tell you what I think...but you just told me 😎

Except pandora is a better land. And as I think you are wise enough to know: the fact avatar was nearly a forgotten movie/had no fanbase ended up being a strength for the land: clean slate.

Never was gonna be the case with Star Wars...the films directly impact the park developments much more. Synergy that in this case is a big negative for Disney.

Nice try there...though 👏

Ren’s conversion to Ben Skywalker and self-sacrifice to save Rey by defeating Palpatine along with Hux’s revelation that he is a mole informs their behavior on the ride. Hux stupidly (and unbelievably) suggests there is no issue 2 seconds before the Resistance arrives as an act of sabotage and Ren never really feels all that threatening, because in the end, it’s half-hearted.

I won’t delve into the actual quality of the films.

Absolutely...

Made the same argument about legs with the last Johnson...remember that, Mr. Penguin??

...it turned out to be true there...the precipitous decline in box office directly foreshadowed 2
Awful years for Star Wars...probably the worst two ever - In fact.

If people reject this movie quickly...oh boy. 2 weekends isn’t gonna hide the stench this time

The Enchanted Tico Room:
Rose Tico hosts a tropical serenade alongside friends Finn, Poe, Jannah, C-3PO, and BB-8. Lifelike animatronics of the characters have been designed to flap arms realistically when the hit number: "Let's all sing like the birdies sing, tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet" begins.
I hope they’re more realistic than the actual actors/characters...

Wait...is that not woke enough?

I'm merely pointing out (correctly) that many said Pandora would fail and were wrong. Nobody knows right now how much longevity Galaxy's Edge has including you, you not liking it or me liking it means very little. It's over time we'll find out how well it does.

That’s fair

Though I think we can agree that what’s going on at the box office today has a potential for greater impact to the park projects than an avatar failure would have in animal kingdom as far as longterm appeal?

Different expectations
