Spoilers for Revenge of Mummy ride

I was thinking, if the ride vehicles hold the same capacity as the Spiderman vehicles do, then isn't this going to drastically affect the waiting times for this ride. If they are saying that the ride is 5 minutes long and features parts where the vehicles are stationary e.g the warrior attack segment, then surely this will result in long waiting times. Surely there won't be more than one vehicle at a time progressing through the same section of the ride as this would spoil many of the surprises for the vehicles behind.
I've been trying to work this one out for a while, anyone have any suggestions or answers to this. :veryconfu

Maybe I'm just thinking into it too much.

Chris,

This ride holds 4 more people then Spiderman. Plus, Spiderman stays nearly stationary infront of the screens for moments. The line does get big but its not unbarable. Plus express pass and such.

"Since you've seen the cars, could you answer some questions???

Are they rows stadium seating so each row is higher then the one before it so everyone has I good view? (I read that somewhere that they would be like that)?

Also. What are the restraints on the cars? Are they lap bars, seat belts, over the shoulder, etc.?"

Didn't look like stadium seating to me. The lap bars were not yet installed in the two cars i have seen. I do believe it will be lap bars from the way the cars were and it seemed like it would ruin the experience on how the cars where setup. The seats where also not installed, so it very well could be stadium though. Rumors are it is. This ride is going to be very well themed from what i saw. Lots of props!

I just read on Screamscape.com that the cars are now on the completed track and the rides computer systems are being tested. Any truth to this? Are they still sitting in that soundstage with all of the props, or are they gone?

I hope they are being tested, because the sooner they test it all out and then put in the props, the sooner they have a soft opening for the public!

According to several sources, the coaster portions of the ride are in the testing phase.

There is an Animated video of what the mummy is supposed to be created by Universal Creative floating around out there, my friend has seen it but I have don't want to see it until i actually ride it myself.. according to him there is no mummy that jumps on the car but considering that it was made in 2002.. plans can change. He claims its not everything its hyped up to be but its still excelent.

I hope for universal's sake that isn't the Audio they use.. The Mummy sounds like it's been seriously proccessed through some bad voice changers....

I think this is more along the lines of what people were looking for from you.

Regardless of what you do and don’t know, anyone can come along and say some parts of a semi-lengthy description are wrong and not say what. Ultimately, it hasn’t informed anyone of anything. It just makes the person who posts it look like either they don’t know anything and are trying to act like the do or like they are trying to brag about what they know but aren’t sharing.

While I’m in no way suggesting that either of those two scenarios were your intent (based on your posting habits it is highly doubtful), it just kind of came across that way in the single post.

I’m not trying to give you a hard time or anything. It just seems like you didn’t get why people were miffed and if you go back in read the whole thread again starting with the first post you replied to, it should seem a bit more obvious.

I hate to spoil your Cat In The Hat theory, but the mummy brochure that he holds up is actually an old one from last year, for Universal Hollywood's mummy addition to their tram tour. I got the same one when I went to LA last November. It was just a coincidence that the mummy was on the cover.

Oh. Ok. I didn't even realize that Hollywood had a mummy attraction already.
