Splitting Time at 2 Resorts

I am traveling to WDW for the first time in 26 YEARS!!! I have reservations for PO French Quarter for the first 2 days and the Contemporary for the other two.

Can anyone tell me what I can expect from the resorts as far as transferring luggage, etc.? I'm hoping I can just check out before I hit the parks that morning and leave my bags for someone to take to the Contemporary and check in there later in the day.

I am hoping that it won't screw up half of my day to get out of one place and into another.

It's been a long time and I want to enjoy it as much as I can.

no problem with splitting your stay in two resorts....thats actually a great decision !! I do it every time i'm in the world. You just get more of disney!
and it's very convenient too. check out in the morning - leave your luggage in the room - go to the parks and check in in the evening at the new resort - and you will find your luggage in your new room already.
