Splitting Checks

Hi everyone! This is not going to be my first time at Disney, but it will be my first time without my parents so I am paying for everything on my own. There are four of us going and I was wondering how they are at Disney restaurants with splitting checks. We decided not to do a dining plan for various reasons but we have table service meals every day. If anyone has any helpful info it would be much appreciated

I have always found Disney restaurants to be good about splitting checks. Sometimes the server will ask in the beginning but if not it's always helpful for you to tell them sooner rather than later. If you forgot to tell them early it shouldn't be a problem for them to do it at the end of the meal, however. Have fun!

After introducing themselves, they will ask first if any of you are on the dining plan. LIke any other restaurant you would visit at home, let your server know when he/she asks for your order that you will be splitting the check. That gives them the chance to serve your table as 2 separate meal orders.

We have a large family (lots of children) and always have 2 rooms. We always have the dining plan and our check has to be split in two because of the 2 separate rooms. We always tell them when we are seated and let them know the number of child credit and adult credits each check will be comprised of. It always goes very smoothly.

It appears nearly all TS at Disney enter orders "by seat" so it is easy for them to later split, but like most have said here - It is best to tell them sooner rather than later.

I travel often with my sister's family and we split the check all the time. We figure out what my groups and their groups part is and we generally just ask the server to put x amount on the room band and the rest on either the other band or a credit card. They'll even do it with my tables in wonderland.
