Spliting dining credit meals

You can split or share a meal at any quick service location, since you order at a counter. Sharing at a table service restaurant if you are paying cash is probably fine; if you want to pay using DDP credits, your daughter will likely have to order something off the children's menu.

I don't want ppl to take this the wrong way but I kids meal is 7$ if they do t finish it oh well. On the dinning plan I think kids r 17$ a day they will eat that much between that a qs and a snack.

How have you split TS meals? I have never heard of this being allowed, and thought it was against policy.
We did it two weeks ago at Be Our Guest. We only had four credits left for our party of six, so my mom got a soup and my adult sister got a kid's meal. We used the credits for the full meals and paid cash for the kid's meal and the soup.

More simple example: A couple could go to a TS restaurant and share one entree and one desert. I have no idea if that's officially allowed, but that's how it plays out in practice.

We spend the whole week eating as a party of six, but only four of us had the dining plan. With the exception of the Be Our Guest example above, we used six dining credits at each meal.

You are allowed now to use your credits for someone not on the dining plan, which you couldn't do before last May. What the OP seems to be asking is to split a TS credit meal with multiple people that are all on the same plan, so that their credits go for more meals. Maybe since they allow sharing with anyone not on the plan, they are OK with splitting a TS meal credit now. They did not allow sharing in the past at all. If you had 2 adults and 2 children aged 3-9 at a TS restaurant, then they pulled 2 adult and 2 child credits from your balance, regardless of whether or not someone shared a meal. Of course children under 3 can share anyone's meal. So it appears that maybe the policy has either changed or been relaxed.

We had (free) DDP almost every year between 2006 and 2012, and only experienced what you're describing at buffets or family style meals. Anywhere we ordered off a menu we were allowed to split TS adult meals and kids' meals with no problem, and were charged credits only for those meals.

There have been other threads on this topic in the past and other people report doing the same thing with no problems, with very few exceptions (Beaches and Cream, mostly).

Thanks....Im not trying to get one over.....I just have a few reservations that are really close (9am) (1pm)....and rather not waste a credit if I know my daughter isn't going to be as hungry.
