Split stay with DDP.

Just out of curiosity, if you were going to do a split stay and we're interested in the Disney dining plan, how would you do it? Without the Disney dining plan, it seemed like the easiest thing to do would be to add tickets onto the 1st reservation. and make the 2nd one a hotel only reservation. However, if you want to to the Disney dining plan you need to add tickets.

If we needed 7 park days, would we just do 4 tickets on the 1st reservation and 3 on the 2nd?

Make the 1st reservation have 7 park days, it will be cheaper than 4+3

Call Disney and ask them to make a ticketless package with dining for the 2nd reservation, it cannot be done online.

Yup I’ve done this. This time we’re doing room plus dining. No tickets. You have to call to do this.
