Pre-Trip Split stay vacay...well, sort of

When: Aug 24-29
Where: Kidani village and akl
Who: Me and sister C

So I had planned to rent through one of the dvc sites and stay at the Boardwalk Inn. Well, there was no availability anywhere on property for a studio on those dates. So after alot of back and forth I rented 3 days at kidani village directly from a member and then 2 days at akl directly through Disney. I have never rented points or had a split stay before. So this will be a new adventure, even though we don't have far to go when we switch lol.

The time has come. Lighting lanes booked and bags packed. One more sleep(like that'll happen lol) and we'll be at the airport bright and early.

Dropped our bags off at kidani and took a bus to Disney springs. Decided to try polite pig for the first time. A bit underwhelming with all the praise it gets here. The fried chicken was definitely the best part.

After a much needed nap we headed to C's favorite restaurant, Raglan Road. We had the dalkey duo, slow lamb and pot pie. Everything was delicious as usual including that great Guinness dip, which we bought to bring home as well. Did a little shopping and now time to rest up for Hollywood studios tomorrow.

Got to hs right at 830 for early entry and made are way to slinky dog dash. This will be our first time doing this one.

So slinky dog was great, it just about hit my limit for coasters lol. Had a quick breakfast at ronto roasters and now for my favorite ride, rise of the resistance.

After rise, C went on tower of terror as I didn't think my stomach was going to handle it well. We did some shopping and now back to the room so C can hit the pool while I relax and enjoy my carrot cake whoopie pie. Then a nap and back to studios for dinner.

We got in line at about 840 and we were on the ride at 915. We got to the park at 830 so we were behind a good amount of people. We were done with slinky and rise by 10.

So it started raining on our way back to studios but we were undeterred. We had a great dinner at prime Time Cafe and then hit mv3d, slinky again, toy story mania and Mickey and Minnies.

I had done the fantasmic dining plan for tonight but sadly the show got cancelled. Went to guest relations along with hundreds of other people and they gave us a $10 gift card each. I was happy with this since I know they really didn't have to do anything. Unfortunate c was unable to see the show, since I saw it in June it wasn't a big loss for me.

Today we got to Epcot at 830 and headed for ratatouille. We had about an hour wait there and then headed to frozen to use our first lightning pass. Then I tried school bread for the first time and instantly became a favorite. Did some shopping around the world then hit soaring and the land. C was getting hungry so I got her some empanadas from Mexico that she enjoyed. We headed back to our room just in time as the skies opened right as we reached the resort. We decided to cancel our dinner at garden grill for a late lunch at mara. After a nap we are heading back to Epcot now to eat around the world.
