Split Reservations & Adding Tickets ??

Hey everyone,
I know lots of people often choose to split up their stay between two or more resorts. This year, due to a schedule change and room availability we are arriving Aug 15 and staying @ POP for one night. Then on a separate reservation we are staying Aug 16 through 22 at BWV.

My questions are these...
As of right now we do no have tickets. What is the best way to add tickets? Should we just buy them separately through the website? Should we add them on to the existing reservation, and if so which reservation? Are any of these options better than the other?

I was thinking, if we added them onto the BWV res then we wouldn't actually get the tickets until the 16th right?

Also, if anyone has any advice or information you think we should know about the resort splitting please advise.
Thanks a bunch!

My question is whether or not there is a $$ savings by putting it on the package AND lets say we add it to the original reservation and the tickets are embedded in our room keys (coincidentally not an available option if I were staying off site :lookaroun ) how does that work moving forward with the second reservation? Do we keep the same keys or is info transferred...etc?

If you're just buying park hoppers and not part of a package, I'd buy them online from a ticket seller which usually is at a decent discount comparted to Disney itself. Just google disney world tickets and look around.

I'm doing the same thing, and a Disney rep said the hotel would be able to transfer our luggage from one resort to the other. Just make sure you let them know when you check in. at POP

You have 2 choices ....

a) Buy the tickets from a Disney-authorized ticket reseller.

b) Buy the tickets as part of your Pop reservation. You can have the tickets "moved" from your Pop room key to your BWV room key when you check-in there ... or you could just keep using the Pop room key as your park ticket.

Also, if you pre-purchase your tickets (whether from a reseller, your local Disney Store or from Disney as a separate purchase from your reservation)...
Use the tickets for your first day's admission. Then when you get to your second hotel you can have them encoded onto your room key. That way you only have the two separate things for your first day or so, and you don't have to fuss with them removing them from the first room key and getting them onto the second.

Thanks guys, I think what we will do is add an 8 day hopper to the first 1-night reservation and just hold on to those room keys/tickets and use them. When we get to BWV for the second reservation we'll ask to have the tickets encoded onto the new room keys. Thanks!
