I've experienced rides down times and my only expectation was maybe the standard return FP, if say the shuttered ride = loss of my FP, or I'd been in line for like an hour when it stopped running. If something is cancelled due to weather, WDW gets a pass.
At some point though, if most the park isn't operating, I'd likely *politely* bring it up with somebody.
Sorry, but a purchase is a purchase. If I'm paying for product, I expect it to be provided.
I hold WDW to the same standard as any other business.
To be fair, I return to WDW because they have had a long history of very good customer service, like automatically giving a replacement FP when a ride goes down.
For that matter, Universal has also generally been very good with their customer service. If something isn't right, the often try to make up for it without us even saying anything to anyone.
